Jesse P.O.V:
"Anndd now you're here and that's basically what happened" the mysterious girl caught me up on what I had missed.
I sighed, "Umm okay... okay... So you just wanted to question us then? Why kidnap Lukas then?"
"Also! Do I really look that weak compared to Petra and Jesse?" Lukas scratched the back of his head, staring down at his arm.
The girl brushed herself off, "First off, no, I didn't necessarily kidnap your friend", she then turned to Lukas, "Second, I didn't say you were weak sweetheart"
Lukas sighed in relief, "T-that's good! Thanks..."
She scoffed, lighting punching his chest, "Didn't do anything, but don't mention it"
"Enough! Why did you want to question us anyways? And what exactly did you want to question us about?" I pulled Lukas away from her, snapping him out of his weird state.
"Oh right~ I saw you guys land on some tiny island outside of the town. I just wanted to know where it was that you came from"
"Well where we're from, people usually tell their names first before they ask questions like that" I glared at her.
The girl lifted her arms up in surrender, "Feisty heavy metal aren't we? My name is Rain. And no need to tell me your guys' names. Now, can you answer my question pretty please with a cherry on top?"
I didn't like the sarcasm in her voice, but she had more leverage over us. She saw us land here, and knows more about this place than we do. It would be idiotic to not take advantage of the situation and comply with her demands. I just had to hope she would answer some questions for us too.
I took a deep breathe, before forcing a smile, "Well Rain, my name is Jesse, and this here is Lukas. Now I know this is gonna sound crazy, but we're not from this world"
"Are you guys aliens or something?" she sat down, bringing one knee up.
Me and Lukas looked at each other, shrugging our shoulders at her weird question.
"Joking! That was a joke..." she groaned.
"Oh! I see... Well, I think the best way to describe it is that we stepped into a portal and it led us... well, y'know" I gestured the town with my hands.
She snorted, "If you tried explaining this to any other person here, you'd probably get called crazy. Luckily, I got to you first before control freak did"
"So uh... Rain was it? Do you mind telling us about this place?"
Rain was still sitting down with her knee up, pondering our mere existence. She got on her knees though, turning around to face the other side of the wall that had people on it. She motioned us to take a seat next to her. I complied with her demands, while Lukas continued to stand, confused by what was happening.
"Look down and tell me what you see" she spoke as she ate her sandwich.
Looking down, I saw multiple things, things I saw when I had walked in. A lady being monitored as she built something, people in line waiting to use a crafting table, someone using a furnace while being watched by a guard, etc.
"Uhm well... you guys definitely have some tight security..." I laughed nervously.
Her eyes looked restless, "Now look over the other side of the wall, and tell me what you see"
"Umm well...."
I peeked over the edge. Nothing in sight. Just an endless drop to nothing. I looked over to Lukas, who shuddered at the sight of it.
