The band, Edward, and I were getting ready to record our third album, and we wanted to make sure our fans got to hear something new, so we covered Lady Antebellum's "Just a Kiss" for good measure. They liked it, but since it was a small cover, it didn't reach anywhere within the charts. It didn't matter; we just wanted to show our appreciation to the fans for all of their support.

We wanted to take a different, more positive step this time. I suggested a more funk, electro-rock sound, something that showed our growth and development as a band. We did a few more interviews with MTV, also an appearance on VH1's Top 20 Video Countdown to promote our work so far.

March 2012

Our first single, "Fire (Aim Your Arrows High)", was released for the new album of the same name, as well as for the new Hunger Games movie.

It was fun making a music video for a movie; I'd never done that before. Edward was really excited, too. The movie's company agreed to have clips of the movie's trailer in the video, plus we got an invite to the premiere in LA.

I wore a long, black and gold gown with my curls up in a messy bun, a few strands framing my face. Edward wore a black and white tux and black shoes. He'd thought he should have done something different with his wild hair, but I said no!

The premiere was really fun. We got to meet Jennifer Lawrence, Liam Hemsworth, and the rest of the cast. I got starstruck over Liam, and Edward got a little jealous, holding onto my hip a little tighter. But he loosened up when we finally met Miley Cyrus, Liam's girlfriend. We hung out a little while longer, saw the movie, which was amazing, and flew back to Seattle the next morning.
