Previously...

He opened the box and I saw a beautiful, diamond ring. My eyes welled up in tears as I saw it; it was a silver gold band with a small diamond surrounded by even smaller diamond studs. It was so pretty, maybe even than my mother's wedding.

"It's beautiful," I cried happily, "but what's it for?"

"It's just a formal promise that I'll always be with you. That it's you, and only you." He said, his eyes getting glassy.

I hugged him tightly, my head dug deep in his shoulder, the tears falling onto his shirt. I let go, and he helped me put on the ring.

I saw a flash of a camera behind me and gasped.

I gasped, then sighed of relief when I saw Alice take a picture of Edward and me. She smiled, and I smiled at my new ring.

After that, we decided to pack up and go home.

I spent the night with Edward again, this time more confident in bed. We didn't do anything, but I never felt closer than in that moment.

Alice came out with the first single for her debut album, called "Call Me Maybe." I thought it was cheesy pop, but she liked it, so whatever.
