Signs of Life on the Luminary

Chapter 7

For the second part of the afternoon, we put on a swimsuit. Mine is black with white lines and ends in shorts. Sophie's is in two pieces and Anna's is more indented.

The place is rather large, there are several swimming lines as well as two pools. It's not just our class it seems, I didn't recognize all faces. The atmosphere is joyful, everyone enjoyed the few minutes free before the course officially began.

"Ahh, I'm so impatient to go in the water!" Anna roared.

I'm laughing as she goes to one of the diving boards.

I'm especially afraid of the pervert there, "Sophie is shivering.

I punch her nicely in the shoulder.

"You're right, but don't let him ruin your pooltime."

"You are right"

"Well you're coming ?!" cried Anna.

We reach her quickly. The fastest in the pool is Sophie, Anna is super strong on the front crawl and I manage the dives rather well. Sophie gets into position and dives into the water, I give her a thumbs up while Anna tries too.

A snap sounds as her legs snap against the water. I slam my hand on my mouth, trying to hold back a laugh. Sophie bursts into laughter when Anna reappears, grimacing with pain.

Bakugo runs towards a diving board and makes a bomb, spraying me from head to toe. Kirishima follows him closely and jumps any way.

"That's clever!" said Jirou, also wet.

I'm laughing at her head.

"Come on, it's not too cold!" Sophie encourages me.

Annna was already starting to do lengths.

I jump in, trying to make a good dive. When I go up, Sophie gives me a pat in the hand.

"It was beautiful!"

I pout and began to warm up in breaststroke.

After a few minutes, the teacher arrives and gives us training sheets like:

.A dive

.50m breaststroke / 50m crawl

.20seconds pause

And rebellious; then we timed ourselves to 100 meters.

After the first exercise completed, I left the line of swimming, the breath short.

"I like how you dive." I turn to the voice and see Shoto.

"Oh yeah, thank you. I don't see much but I manage"

I show the location where my glasses were supposed to be, which I had removed. He opens his mouth to say something but one hand grabs my wrist.

"Omg! Jennie looks!"

She points to Anna... in a big conversation with a guy with purple hair.

"I don't believe it..."

"Is that our Anna?"

I shrug my shoulders.

"An alien has taken his place?" I propose.

Shoto takes an expression of horror.

"What? How is that done?"

I turn to him to explain the joke when Katsuki arrives.
