a Potter and a Riddle <3

I've added a little prologue to this chapter. I needed to add this bit in but it didn't really fit well so here ya go:

'Dear Chloe, 

Hellos sweetheart how is your first year at Hogwarts!? We expect to hear everything when you return home! Oh, and speaking of that we've invited the order over to come and stay with us over the break, so I guess you'll be staying with your friends all break! You're welcome to invite whoevere else you'd like as well!

"Ugh are you serious!"

She shouted in her dorm

"The one time I get a break and now everyone else is there!"

She crumpled up the paper and walked over to her diary.

-THE NEXT DAY-

This was it! The day of the Yule ball! Everyone is beyond ecstatic including Chloe. There are girls running around back and forth trying to get ready. Two girls got in a fight because they both had the same dress. Chloe had gotten ready around 3 hours ago and was sitting on her bead reading. Delani was also ready and was conjuring tons of alcohol. Chloe didn't like drinking. It only worsened her anxiety. Although it hadn't been bad for about a year, she wasn't going to take any chances. 

"Ok I'm finally ready!"

Lily walked out in a nice pink silk dress

"I decided to go for something simple this time"

She said 

"It's wonderful Lily"

Chloe said with a huge grin

"Merlin Chloe your dress..."

She said

"What's wrong"

"Nothing it's just...beautiful"

She looked dumbfounded staring at Chloe's dress. It was a green gown with tons on tule on the bottom of the waist.

"Well I think we should go we're gonna be late"

Delani interrupted 

"Right let's go see what these baboons are up to" 

Chloe said with an eye roll

The girls laughed

They entered the common room. Nicholas zambini, Connor Diggory, Oliver Malfoy, and of course Tom Riddle, all stood in the common room awaiting their dates. She should be staring at Malfoy but her eyes met with riddles as they looked at each others outfits. He was wearing a sharp black suit and his hair was...perfect.

"Chloe!"

She was snapped out of their eye contact and brought back to Oliver

"Merlin you look splendid in that dress princess"

Oliver said with a wink

"Not so bad yourself Oliver"

They all continued chatting for a while but she couldn't help but notice Amelia climbing all over riddle. It made her uncomfortable and she didn't know why. He caught her staring and she looked away.

"So Delani you found yourself a date after all"

Lily teased

"Oh shut it"
