I looked over at her, a smile reaching my face. I couldn't help but admire the curve of her nose, her plump red lips and the way her black hair cascades past her shoulders. Her eyelashes held mascara and just above them, was the eyeliner she wore day by day.

"Stop staring at me, jeez." Tanya stuck her cute tongue out.

I grinned showing my teeth. "I just can't, you're too cute." I couldn't hold all these compliments in after finally confessing to her, and even more so when she felt the same.

"Adri, hurry up and finish your paragraph so we can turn it in and leave." I pouted and looked down hating that I still had to do this.

English was bad enough as it is, but being given an essay to do so we can leave made it worse. I was hungry already and now I couldn't leave till this was done. Luckily Tanya didn't mind waiting with me.

Shoot, I should've spent less time admiring her and more time thinking about this. Just as I said that, my eyes drifted up and connected with hers. I smiled when I realized she was the one that was watching me. Her cheeks tinged pink and she quickly looked away.

I grinned my usual stupid, silly grin and looked back down at my paper. I picked up my pencil and quickly wrote two more sentences, no longer caring about what I got.

I quickly stood up, the chair scraping against the tiled floor and making a horrible screeching noise. I cringed but continued my walk to my English teacher. The only teacher I've ever had a problem with... Mr. Carlarat.

"Thank you miss. Reynolds." I nodded and placed the paper in his hand. He muttered something but I no longer cared, knowing that I was free to go to lunch.

Turning to Tanya, I grabbed her hand and rushed for the stairs leading to the cafeteria.

"Slow down Adri! I told you to hurry up but I didn't mean run." I chuckled and abruptly stopped, making her run into my back.

I turned around and wrapped my arms around her waist. "Sorry, it's just.. you know I hate him and I'd rather be as far away as I can get." I scrunched my face up in disgust, thinking about having to go back to English.

Her wonderful laughter reached my ears. "I know, I was just teasing you."

I shook my head and kissed her nose. "Of course you were."

"Why do you always kiss my nose?"

"Cause why not?" I shrugged my shoulders and she pecked my lips.

I deepened the kiss, doing what I've wanted to do since this morning. I ran my hands up the curve of her back and let it rest on the back of her neck. My other hand reached to caress her cheek, sliding down to rest on her waist.

I regretfully pulled away, not wanting anyone to catch us like this in the middle of the hall. Tanya always gets so red when doing anything in public. It's cute but it's also something that only I want to see.

"We should go before they start to worry." Tanya said, nodding over to the staircase.

I scoffed thinking about our stupid friends. "Worry? They're probably thinking of ways to embarrass and tease us."

She grinned, knowing full well that I was right. "I know and I'm excited to see what's gonna be said today." Her eyes glistened with excitement.

She reached for my hand and calmly walked up the stairs, never once letting go. My heart swelled and I stopped in the middle of the staircase to kiss those luscious red lips. Even if it was just really quickly.

"Wow Adrianna, Tanya." I groaned and looked up at the voice.

"What Helena?"

"Nothing, I just wasn't expecting to see two people making out as I walked to class." Helena smiled down at us from the top of the stairs.
