We walked inside and the loud music exploding into our ears. I was shocked that I couldn’t really hear the music from outside. I looked around to the ceilings and walls and wondered how thick the walls really were. Max and I was separated almost immediately as there were lots of people in the corridor. I looked around and kept pushing forward.

After about what felt like forever of trying to push through I finally managed to get into the living room. It was so big that my mouth fell open. There were about 50 people in here but it looked like there was still enough space to fit another whole bunch. There were snacks and drinks in every corner. I went to the middle and saw Clara sitting by a sofa. She saw me come and waved enthusiastically for me to come over as if she hadn’t seen me for a decade and we had been best friends in a previous lifetime. I went over to her and she looked me up and down.

“You look brilliant Maisie!” she said looking at me admiringly. I looked at her clothes. She had a long plain blue skirt, a floral blouse and a sweater.

“You look great too Clara!” I said truthfully giving her a sincere smile. She looked a bit different today but I just couldn’t my finger on it.

“Yeah right,” she said looking down. I pulled her up and she looked shocked. I dragged her around the house. There were many doors and I managed to find a bathroom that wasn’t in use. There were probably about 3 toilets in the west side of the bottom floor alone. I shuddered thinking what they had upstairs!

I put the toilet down and told her to sit on it. She hesitated at first and then complied. I searched my bag for a hair bobble and found a light blue scrunchie. Great! Just the thing I need! It would match perfectly with Clara’s skirt.

I pulled up all her hair into a small messy bun leaving a little bit to dangle in front of ears. She had great cheekbones but they were always hidden away under her hair.

“Take your sweater off,” I ordered. She looked at me thinking I was joking but her eyes widened when she caught on.

“I can’t. They’ll make fun of me!” she said. I looked at her dejectedly. What happened to her spirit and enthusiasm the other day? She pouted and then slowly took her sweater off.

I looked inside my purse once again wondering what I kept in it. I found a red lipstick and applied it onto her lips. I looked at her and saw that she was transforming into a pretty girl. I could tell that if she lost a few pounds, boys would definitely be begging at their feet.

The door to the toilet opened and a petit girl came in. She looked at me once and then as if realizing something her eyes widened. She stared at me wide eyed and she immediately started backing away. “I’m sorry; I didn’t know anyone was in here.”

She looked timid but was very cute and almost pixie-like. She must be a junior in our school. “It’s ok.” I smiled. She stood by the door stunned. She looked at me admiringly and sighed sadly. She had one more glance at me and then turned around for the door.

“Err…excuse me?” I asked. The girl turned around looking scared as if she had done something wrong. “Do you have a blusher with you?”
