---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I woke up to the sound of rain on my window. It looked dark and sad outside. I peeked through the window and saw Max's car already parked in the driveway. He was probably downstairs with Mum. I got up lazily and head to the shower.

I came out the bathroom to Max on my bed. He had his eyes closed and his hands casually over his head. He didn't open his eyes as I came out. I smiled sneakily as I tiptoed to the bed. I bent down slowly leveling with his ear.

"Max," I whispered with a soft blow. He immediately opened his eyes and as soon as he did I jumped on the bed and onto him. I whipped my hair around so that all the water was dripping to his face. I placed my palm on his cheeks making him get soaked.

We both laughed hysterically. I continued wiping my hands on his face and shaking my hair all about when he grabbed both my wrists. I slowed down and stared into his face. He wasn't smiling. His eyes bore into mine for what felt like forever. I knew I had to move but I remained motionless.

The door creaked open and Mum came in wide eyed. "Oh...oh my, I guess you two have made up then," she giggled and closed the door. My jaw dropped open as I finally understood what she meant. What else would she be thinking if her daughter was in a towel sat on top of a boy on a bed in a bedroom?

I quickly got off Max and went to my wardrobe. I managed to pull out a sweatshirt and skinny jeans. I wasn't in the mood to dress up today. I turned around and took off my towel, letting it drop to the floor. I quickly pulled the jeans up and wore the sweatshirt. I let my wet hair hang loose and turned around facing the bed. Max was staring at me nonchalantly.

I looked at my watch shocked. It was already 9 o'clock. I pulled Max off the bed and dragged him out the bedroom door.

"Why are you in a rush?" he asked.

"Why aren't you?" I muttered angrily. We were late for school and he wasn't even bothering.

"Where are you going?" I turned to him a bit annoyed. His face was full of curiosity and I shook my head at him, rolling my eyes.

"Where do we go everyday mister? We are going to school! And we are late!" I shrieked.

I was on top of the stairs and about to drag him forcefully yet carefully down the stairs when my hand jerked and I was pulled back. My body turned around with the force and I was left facing Max who had a dejected look on his face.

He placed his up-turned hand on my forehead as if feeling my temperature. He was holding back a smile and he then bent down his face to my height.

"For someone who don't drink, I think you might be having a hangover if not drunk." I had no idea what he was on about and I didn't have time to play his games. We were already late and we weren't even out of the house yet.

I turned around a bit too quickly and my foot caught onto each other. My eyes were wide as I saw the distance I was going to fall at. My hand gripped anything that was near but failed to hold on to the railings. I closed my eyes thinking it was all too late and I was going to get hurt bad.

Everything seemed to be going in slow motion as my body tilted forward over the first step of the stairs. I felt a hand go onto my hip and then the world moved in quite a speed. My body was turned and a fierce grip on my hip squashed me with a hard wall. My eyes were closed and my breathing heavy.
