{Guess who's fucking back}

Yn stared at their locker, now empty of all but a coat hanger and some residue from their stickers. They sighed and slung their backpack around their shoulder. The weight grounded them, reminded them of the room they were standing in. Tears flooded their eyes and fogged their vision. They had a family emergency, they had to leave work for some time. But it still ended with them being required to move to help with everything happening, which meant they would have to leave Sun and Moon. They hadn't told the two yet, they'd told them about the family problems, but not that they were leaving their job. It was quiet, the sound of their shoes against the ground echoed around the large walls of the Pizza Plex. They were going to miss the bright, vibrant lights, the doors that took to long to open and got stuck, the paranoia that accompanied being in such a large area all alone.

They entered the daycare, the friendly and fun music blared out of the speakers in the ceiling. They walked down the stairs, one by one, trying to put as much time as possible between them and the crushing news they were set to deliver. They stared at the large doors, taking deep breaths in an attempt to calm their self. They swallowed the sob crawling up their throat and opened the large doors. They heard the excited gasp of Sun and saw him whip his head around, a smile on his face. Their heart broke for him. "Yn! Hi, hello, you're back, it's been so long!" He squealed, picking them up, spinning, and then placing them down. His smile dropped when he saw the look of despair on their face. "What is it, what's wrong?" He interrogated. They looked down, not blinking so the tears wouldn't fall. "When I say this, I need you and Moon to listen to me, okay?" Their voice broke. "Yea, of course. He's listening." Yn took a breath, calmed their self, broke the news and then down crying. "What? No, no, you can't leave. We'll miss you, you'll miss us. You're gonna come back, thought, right? Like you did today?" Yn shook their head. "I don't know, Sun, I don't know." They embraced each other. Sun stood to turn the lights off. The humming they didn't even realize was there until it was gone left a ringing in their ears to replace the emptiness.

Moon wrapped his arms about their neck from behind. "I wish you didn't have to leave like this." He rasped. Yn grabbed his hand and sniffled. "I wish I didn't have to leave either." He let out what sounded like a laugh but not a happy one. "It wouldn't matter anyway, they're replacing us." Yn turned around and faced him. "What?" He sighed. "We're a liability, kids are scared of us, our paint is chipped and creepy. We're done, they're going to shut us down. Sun doesn't know." Yn crumbled to their knees and sobbed. No, this can't be happening. Their life seemed to be falling apart around them. He put his arms around them and let them  sob into his chest. "It'll be okay, everything will be fine. You'll get over this." They shook their head and cried harder. They wished this could all stop, that time could stop and they could stay in this moment, close to their love. They wished everything around them would fade into nothingness and they would be in the world with them, all alone, no one to bother them, to force them apart. But wishing was fruitless, nothing would change sitting and crying together. Nothing would change. Their fates were set.

Yn stared out of the widow of the plane, their mind on two things. They could feel that they were also thinking of them. And that was enough.

{I'm fucking back. We were watching the sad scene in Hamilton in theater and I got the idea for this. I'm not back per se but I will be updating this with short little oneshots every now and again when I get writers block.
