Days went by quickly as you and Larissa helped prepare for the Harvest Festival. So far, everything was going according to plan. Everything was all figured out at the meeting so all that was left was the finishing touches, which of course Larissa knew exactly what to do.

The halls of the academy bustled with students who were excited to spend their day with their peers and spend the night whisking away at all the carnival rides, basking in the joy of their youth.

Since this was another day of Wednesday being outside of school grounds, Larissa was worried she might pull another escape attempt and demanded that the two of you keep eye on the girl at all times.

Larissa seemed extra tense as the day went on. Part of you felt bad that most of the day was spent on Larissa's coattails making sure to keep an eye on your pig-tailed little sister instead of enjoying the fun activities that were being offered.

There were a few attempts where you caught the blonde's attention and got those ocean eyes to pay attention to something else, but your plan always faltered whenever Wednesday was slightly out of sight.

Wednesday on the other hand knew that the eyes of the principal were watching her every move and chose to go about the situation wisely.

"Are we going to be doing this all night?" You asked Larissa with a sigh. "The sun has already set and all we've done is watch Wednesday walk around with the coffee shop boy."

"I thought you agreed to do this."

"I did. I-I do, but she's with a boy. For Wednesday, this is completely out of the ordinary but don't you think that's a good thing? Maybe she's finally starting to warm up to this place."

"One can never be too careful."

"Larissa." You stop the blonde in her tracks, tearing her attention away from your sister. "Look around you! Everyone is having fun besides you. You're so stressed you're forgetting where we are! We are at a carnival!" You smile brightly up at her. "You can't tell me you haven't been dying to play some silly little games and stuff your face with fair food."

She raises a brow at the end of your sentence. You had a point. She didn't realize how much she was stressing herself out trying to make sure everything stayed perfect.

A smile crept upon her face as she thought of the fun things that you and her could be doing right now instead of tiring yourselves out keeping watch.

"Fine," She finally speaks after a minute. "But only a couple games and then we get back to what we were doing. Deal?" She offers you her hand.

"Deal!" Your smile grows wider as you shake her hand.

Larissa rolled her eyes playfully with a smile of her own. "I'll go get us some tickets, you stay right here."

"Yes ma'am. My feet are glued to the ground."

She shook her head as she walked off to find the vendor selling the tickets. Being left alone with her thoughts, she was quick to realize that you were in fact the complete opposite of Wednesday, let alone any other members of your family. She only saw a bit of Morticia in you with your high energy and sarcasm.

While standing around, you aren't left alone for too long when your familiar pigtailed sister nearly appears in an instant at your side.

"I'm trying to keep her off your tail, by the way. At least for a little bit. We are going to play a few games. Leaves you with some alone time with your doe-eyed Weathervane friend." You look down at the girl with a smirk.

"Thank you." She used her usual monotone voice but you know she was being sincere as Wednesday was not one for any kind of pleasantries.

"And he's not my friend. He's just here with me as an acquaintance."
