Chapter 5

It was around 4:00 when we finished our yogurt. Steven walked me home and it was already getting dark on the way back. We got back around 5:00 and my moms car wasn't in the driveway. I checked my phone and barely noticed that my mom texted me 10 min ago. "Going to the grocery store. Ill be back around 6. Luv u hun" . "Well i guess my moms gunna be gone for an hour. Wanna come inside?" I asked Steven, opening to door with my key. "Of course😂 Ladies first" he said holding the door for me and gesturing his hand towards the inside my house. We walked upstairs to my room and both sat on my bed. "Thanks for today Steven. I really had a good time with you." "I had a good time to" he said, looking me in the eyes. He started to lean in, and very soon his lips were on mine. 10 seconds later i push away. "Steven i cant do this. We barely met this morning, i don't think it would be right to be doing this so soon." I said awkwardly. "Oh . Ok. I get it. Im so sorry Maliyah i didnt expect myself to do that. I guess ill just go now". Steven got up slowly and awkwardly. He walked to my door and turned around. I was expecting him to say something but he just quietly turned back around and walked out of my room, closing the door behind him. First i heard the footsteps down the stairs, then the door opening and closing. Oh god what just happened. "I guess ill just try to take a nap" i thought to myself.
I woke up, 1 hour later, and found my mom in the kitchen making dinner. She asked if i was hungry , but i said no. I was hungry tho. Just not really in the mood with what just happened with Steven. "Are you okay hun?" "Im fine mom. thanks". I layed down on the coach and turned on the tv. I looked at my phone and noticed someone texted me but i wasnt sure who. "Hey
. srry about earlier". Im guessing it was Steven. "No, its fine. Its cool, honestly. Just don't let it happen again 😅" I thought that sounded a little mean at the end but i sent it anyways.
"Come outside" Steven texted me @ 8:30 in the morning. Wth? i got up, put on my shoes and walked downstairs + out the house quietly. I saw Steven holding a bunch of balloons that read "Happy Birthday" + he had a gift. "Steven ! Aw this is so nice" i said blushing. I'm assuming that now I'm supposed to forget that kiss last night ever happened. Whatever. "Well i happened to remember it was your birthday today so i decided to get something for my new best friend." he said. I started to laugh. "Thank You so much Steven. I really appreciate it 😂😊" i hugged him while he screamed "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" into my ear. "Dude come inside its freezing cold out here and im sure you're hungry" i said walking towards the front door. "Nah i already ate booty on the way 😂" Steven walked in to the house. "Oh my lord Steven, you're so retarded😂 . "Thank You. Thank You very much 😏😂 ". He sat at the kitchen table while i got cereal for the both of us. "Bruh can you open your present already, its fire as fuck dude" "I guess i'll open it rn 😂." I started to open the present. (🐝)
