Chapter 6

The wrapping paper on the box had stevens face all over it . "Steven whered you get this wrapping paper from 😂😂" "i made it 😏" "woow how creative of you lmao " . I tore up the wrapping paper and opened the box . Inside was 5 honey shirts , 2 pairs of huff socks, and a gift/credit card with $200 . "STEVEN THANKYOU SO MUCH! I LOVE YOU SOOOOSOSOSO MUCH TY TY TY" i yelled and hugged him so tight . "Anything for my fufu mama 😏 " i giggled and released myself from our very tight hug. Right then i heard footsteps coming downstairs , and then my moms voice . "Maliyah what is with all that yelling ... Whos this ?!" she asks looking over at Steven . "Mom , this is Steven" my mom gives me a look "Just a friend" I add . My mom nods her head in agreement . They shake hands and Steven starts to turn red , he looks nervous for something . "Well we're gonna go upstairs now" I say breaking the silence . Steven follows me up the stairs , my mom standing there watching us . I put the box on my bed and I save a little piece of the wrapping paper with Stevens face on it , I organize the shirts in my closet too . "What do you want to do" "I kind of want to go to the mall" "the mall?" "Yeah the mall" "how are we gonna there" "walking duhh"
I get a shirt that Steven bought me and some shorts with a pair of those huff socks & my black converse . I go to the bathroom to change + brush my teeth + fix my hair . I step out the bathroom and grab my phone , "you ready" Steven asks "yup lets go" . We walk downstairs but run into my mom in the living room . "Where are you going" my mom asks "Steven invited me to the mall can I go" "what time will you be back" "I don't know pretty late" "be careful and if I call you please answer your phone" "can I at least get some money" "the credit card" Steven says. "Oh yeah never mind mom" "credit card?" She asks "Yeah Steven got me a credit card" "really? That seems like a little too much" "it was just a small gift it's nothing" Steven says. "I'll go get it stay here" . I rush upstairs and get the card from the box . When I go downstairs Stevens already outside . "Lead the way"

Steven talks about what he wants to do when he gets older in his skateboarding career . He also mentions some things about his family and stuff , I think to get to know each other better . We arrive at a huge mall , bigger than the mall at my old city . "Cmon" Steven holds my hand and butterflies form in my stomach , we walk in the mall which is even bigger inside than outside . We're walking around when Steven pulls me into a store called zumiez and I instantly spot a mannequin with a shirt that I have on , a table full of different shirts and a couple sweatshirts on it . "Wow that's a lot of honey shirts" "I know a little more than most stores" "well these are pretty nice I like them" "I've been wanting to design more I just haven't had time" "what do you mean design more , you work with the people who make them" he nods but I don't really believe him for some reason , I just interrupted by girls screaming and rushing into the store . Some push me out of the way and mountain on top of Steven . The workers at zumiez come and tell the girls to keep calm and get off of Steven . I'm still sitting on the floor confused at how all those girls know Steven , Steven gets up and reaches his hand out to help me up but I refuse . I get up by myself and he looks confused by my action . He get pulled back again by some girls again and they're asking him for pictures ,signing their arms ,I don't even know what else since they're basically screaming . Steven totally forgot I was here so I walk out of the store and go walk around . The stores didn't look too interesting either so I just sat down at some benches . Someone sits next to me , I look up to find Steven . "Why'd you leave" "what was I supposed to do there all the girls were pushing me around" "sorry about that" "how do all those girls know you anyway" he unlocks his phone and hands it to me . It's his Instagram account , and he has 1m followers ... "Wait how" "skateboarding and YouTube" he simply says . "And all of them are what ? Fans ?" "I guess you can call them that" he chuckles . "So did you find any stores you liked" "actually no , I didn't really walk into any of them" "do you still want to walk around or do you want to go to the skate park" "umm skate park" "okay let's go"

"Why did you want to come you don't even have your board" I giggle . "No but I like to watch people skate too you know"
