Chapter 4

"Sorry i just got so lost your eyes" Steven finally said with a huge smirk on his face . Oml that was so cheesy and weird at the same time 😂. "Steven!" I said laughing and smiling. He started to laugh with me. He was about to say something when someone interrupted. "Hey Maliyah!" I heard someone say. It was Evelyn , with Juan on her side. "Oh hey Evelyn; Hey Juan!" I said. I was so relieved that they came because things could not get any more awkward between Steven and I. "Hey Steven!" Evelyn said . He said hi back. I guess they were friends ? "You two know each other?" Evelyn asked. "We ba" i got cut off by Steven . "Yea we know each other " Steven interrupted , looking me with another smirk. "Ouu 😏. Cmon juan lets leave them alone for a little bit" Evelyn said. Juan agreed, laughing, and Evelyn and he left. I blushed ALOT when they said that. "So, tell me about yourself" Steven said when they were gone. "Uh i guess😂 but what do you want to know?" I asked . "Anything you want me to know". "Well, my names Maliyah Jhene Smith, in 14 years old , and my birthday is actually tomorrow , so ill be 15 soon😅 . I just moved houses a few days ago, but I've been in Compton since i was 4 or 5. Um my parents recently divorced ... And yah thats pretty much it" i said quieter as i got to that. I wanted to cry but i held it on. "Oh . Im sorry . Are you okay ?" Steven asked. "Yea I'm fine ." I said with a crack in my voice . I stood up , and so did he . He opened his arms for me to hug him and i did. I felt awkward crying in his arms but i really needed a hug and there wasn't anyone else around . Still hugging me, he said "Well,just remember, I'm here,always." Thank you Steven. I really appreciate it" i thanked him, wiping away my tears . We both sat back down. "So. Tell me about yourself" i said. "Okay haha well my name is Steven Fernandez. I love skateboarding. I love cup of noodles and girls with a big booty". Omg did he really just say that. I forgot about why i was crying before and began to laugh . "Whats so funny😂" Steven said , laughing too. "Nothing, Nothing😂" i said , even though he knew what i was laughing about it . "Okay weirdo 😂 lets go skateboard now" Steven said. He stood up, grabbed my hand and dragged me with him so he could teach me to skate.

*2 hours late*
It was about 2 hours later and i was on my butt , because i fell, laughing hysterically with Steven by my side. "This is really fun 😂 but its so hard" i said . "Told you . C'mon lets go now i dont want you to hurt yourself 😂" Steven said. "Okay fine 😋" i said . We began to walk and ended up going to Menchies Frozen Yogurt. While we were walking there , we were just talking and laughing at each other. Steven was a really cool guy. Hes cute too 😩 . "Ugh you barely know him don't catch any feelings" i said to myself . We finally got to the place and walked inside.
