Alexander

Alex was, once again, blown away. As soon as he set foot into the Hotel, he felt like he entered a parallel universe. He felt like he was transported into space, another world.

And when he saw Cori, his mouth went dry, his throat scratchy. How authoritative she looked, how mature.

Her voice was like he remembered it to be, but she wasn't saying nice things. She was telling the man in front of her off, telling him to pack his things. Matt chuckled and nudged him. "You really are one for the feisty ones, aren't ya?" He laughed and Alex gave him a look.

As soon as the man was away, Matt hollered and whistled, to which he got slapped on his arm by Jamie, and her attention was on them. Alex looked into the eyes he long ago lost himself in and he did it once again. He lost himself in them.

Her eyes finally found his and he saw a glimpse of the old Cori. Lee, the girl who comforted him when he was oh-so-lonely and the girl that fell asleep on his shoulder. The girl he had one of his best, most emotionally-deep kisses with.

His magical kiss.

She stepped away from the desk and strode toward them. Her long legs were covered by a tailored maroon-colored suit pants. But it didn't stop him from admiring them. She seemed so much more confident now, her more prominent hips swinging from left to right.

Her hair has gotten longer and darker, she now had golden brown hair. Her posture was straight and proud, and her red lips were up in a bright smile. She greeted them all, hugging them one by one. He was the last in line. She pulled him in and he hugged her tight.

A thousand feelings were inside Alex at that moment, but could only focus on one. Happiness. Feelings that come back are feelings that never left his brain told him but he shut it off, only focusing on her.

No amount of time can separate you from the people you are meant to be in life, the ones that your heart craves.

Her hair still smelt like almonds and coconut, but it was barely noticeable through the smell of her expensive-smelling perfume. "Hi Al" she whispered and Alex got goosebumps when her hot breath hit his ear. "Hi, Lee" he whispered back.

They talked a little and soon enough, they got their keys. Alex looked at her while she gave him his key. But she didn't only give him a key, she slipped him a card in his hand. She smiled at him, in a way that was un-misunderstandable.

He quickly slipped the card into his pocket and smiled at her back.

After getting invited to dinner by her, the group left to go to their rooms. Matt got the Honeymoon suite, but he would move next week when a single room was free. Nick and Jamie gave Alex the Suite and they each took a single room.

They separated and Alex slipped his key into the lock and opened the door.

521 was his number.

His room was huge with high walls. A chandelier hung from the ceiling, reflecting the sun that shone through the ceiling-high windows. The wallpaper was a soft emerald color, setting the mood for the room.

His suitcase was already in the big bedroom. A kingsized bed was in the middle, a little cushioned bench in front of it. Much like when he greeted her years ago, a basket full of goodies sat on the bed, a card sticking out of it.

Alex carefully sat down on the bouncy bed, pulling out the card.

It was black, with an abstract design covering the front, the hotel name in the corner of it. He flipped the card and read.
