AlexanderAfter Brainstorming for quite a while, the guys all decided to go down to have dinner. Jamie was complaining non-stop about being hungry, Alex was just hungover, Nick was tired too. Matt was the only one fully functioning.
They took a seat in the restaurant and waited for their dinner. Once they got that, they dove in. Right when they were all finished and the waiter was picking up their empty plates, the Restaurant went dark, the spotlight on the stage of the room. A black, grand piano stood boldly in the middle it. "What is happening?" Jamie whispered and everyone shrugged. "No ideas, mate" Nick whispered back.
Cori was walking onto the stage while everyone was cheering, and Alex was gwaking at her. She held an old condenser microphone in her hands that were wrapped in white silk opera gloves. Her silver strapless dress covered her body, a slit letting the crowd see her leg. It reached her black high heels, a straight line down. But the most attention catcher must have been the Snow White boa shawl she carried between her arms, going around her back.
Her rhinestone earrings reflected the spotlight. She smiled at the crowd and sat behind the piano. "She's not going to play, is she?" Matt asked and a soft melody filled the room in an instant.
A slow, but cheerful melody was flowing through the air and a thouthsand lyrics popped up in Alex's head. "Mate, that's awesome!" Jamie whispered and Alex looked at Matt, who was already looking at him. Both nodded at each other and it was clear. Cori just unbeknowingly set the tone of the Album. "We ned to get this melody." Matt whispered to Alex and he whispered "I need to ask her later" back. The end of her piece was magical and Alex felt like that song transported him to the moon.
The crowd clapped and Cori smiled at them, and she looked around. Nick even went that far and stood up, clapping. Jamie followed and clapped, whistled and chanted her name. Coris eyes found the group and her smile just got a little wider.
She leaned forward to the piano, so that she that she was closer to the microphone.
"Good evening, ladies and gentlemen, and welcome to the "Galaxy night" My name is Coralie Desormeaux and I'll be guiding you through this magical night." She announced and hit a lower note on the piano. "This one you just heard sets the tone for the evening, Called "Star Treatment" because tonight, you'll be feeling a star in the sky. The next song I'll be playing for you is a special one to me, because I've written it when I was little. I dreamt about the Grand Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, and one night, in my Childs room in France, I wrote this one. "Tranquility Base Hotel and Casino" " she hit more notes, all a little darker, until it got higher.
It was soo melodic and beautiful, Alex felt a shiver down his spine and goosebumps spread over his arms. The song switched between high and low notes, clearly telling an unspoken story. Her music spoke to him, and Alex looked back at Matt, and he had a grin on his face. "This one too?" He asked and Alex nodded quickly.
The song faded out and cheers filled the room again. "This is bloody amazing!" Jamie whisper shouted at the group. "I want our album to be like this" Nick added, and Matt chuckled. "Alex and I want that too, what about you, Cookie?" They all looked at the man in question, who began to smile widely. "Also-fucking-lutely gu-"
Cori's voice interrupted them, her voice more soft now.
"After this piece, I invite you all to stay up and have a Wonderful night. Eighter you try your luck at the one of the many Tables our casino provides, or have one of our fantasic drinks. Its your choice, at the Galaxy Night. Or you put on you golden trunks, and enjoy a dive in our pool outside, the water is lovely, and maybe you meet someone you like during the meteor strike we're expecting today. This song is called golden trunks" She said and placed her fingers pack on the keys.
Many people stood up and left, but Alex and his group stayed. This new song was his favourite so far. It was a little quicker, but it was the most heartfelt song he ever heard someone play.
"I want all of them" Alex whispered under his breath. Matt nodded, and he also had a look of disbelieve on.
While she played, more and more people left until there was only a handful of people left at the restaurant. Cori played and the song got slower and slower toward the end. But then, on the last part of the song, she leaned forward, her fingers still playing and she looked towards the group, her eyes quickly finding Alex's.
He once again felt like he was sucked into a trance, her being the only existing thing in the whole world.
"So In response to what you whispered in my ear I'll be upfront, sometimes, yeah sometimes, I fantasise about you too" she sung, her voice soft. Alex felt his heart in his throat.
He had to make her his. He was certain of it.
They were meant for each other.
Matt looked at Alex knowingly, and Jamie and Nick understood it too. They were all looking at him, giving each other looks
Alex had fallen for the woman.
"Thank you all" Cori said and stood up, leaving the stage again.
