"Damon. Damon. DAMON!" Elena shouted, snapping the man out of the trance he was in. Coming aware again he noticed the entire room was silent and everyone was facing him. They were all looking at him in concern.
The entire Mystic falls gang consisting of Elena, Stefan, Caroline, Bonnie, Alaric and Damon had all been gathered to talk about the Mikaelsson Ball held in two days time. Damon had been speaking when all of a sudden his leather bracelet had crumbled and he just sat staring at it like he was in a trance.

Everyone had turned to face him in concern not noticing Stefan doing the same thing with his snapped necklace.

Alaric sat next to his drinking buddy with a bourbon in hand and passed it to Damon wordlessly.
"What's going on? Why is that bracelet snapping freaking you out so much?" Caroline asked in confusion. It looked like an ordinary leather bracket and they snap all the time so she was confused by his reaction.
"It's not a normal bracelet." Is all that Damon says and they all look at him to elaborate.
"Damon." Stefan chokes out sounding on the verge of crying, holding his broken necklace up in his hand.
Damon's head whips round to look at him so fast everyone was surprised his neck didn't break. Damon's eyes look at the necklace and his eyes go wide. He practically runs over to his brother and when he sees the necklace is broken he stumbles back in shock. The brothers look at each other with heartbroken expressions while everyone else looks at each other in confusion.
As everyone was about to ask questions a ball of light enters through the window. Everyone bar the brothers tenses ready for an attack. The brothers stare at it as it takes the form of a very large wolf.
