Who had the audacity to try to deceive him so boldly? That was the thought that first came to Klaus. Many people had claimed to be his mate over the years in order to try and gain favours from him or to use his power. Time and time again it turned out to be lies, with none of them having his mark.
After so many deceiving him of being his mate he automatically thought this to be the case here. Still he kept on reading if only to find out who to kill for trying to trick him.

The letter was actually from his mate. Klaus looks at the photo for what felt like the millionth time in the past few minutes and laughs in disbelief.
