The Dance And Talks

After that Esther made the siblings stand on the staircase and made Elijah do a speech. He decided to make a bullshit speech about happily reuniting the family like Esther wanted to not arise suspicion.

"Welcome, thank you for joining us. You know, whenever my mother brings our family together like this, it's tradition for us to commence the evening with a dance." Elijah said with a smile while internally he was rolling his eyes at the utter bullshit he was saying.

"Do you see who I see?" Damon asked his little brother in a whisper while eyeing Esther.

"Oh, yeah." Stefan whispered back nodding.

"Think she'll cause trouble with us?" Damon asks while taking his eyes off the woman catching Elena give the woman a nod making him confused.

"I hope not. I don't want anything to do with the Mikaelsons or trouble today. We do anything else wrong and our sister might actually kill us both." Stefan whispered back making Damon nod in agreement.

"I think someone has already made plans with her though. At least we can honestly defend ourselves with knowing nothing about it." Damon said jerking his head in Elena's direction making Stefan sigh in annoyance.

"Of course she did." Stefan said rolling his eyes as they both turn back to Elijah's speech.

"Tonight's pick is a centuries-old waltz, so if all of you could please find yourselves a partner, please join us in the ballroom." Elijah said and Esther retreats silently back upstairs. Angel smiled as she remembers her time at the Yule ball waltzing by choice for the first time.

Damon extends his hand towards Elena and she looks at him confused.

"It would be rude not to dance, you know. Besides Bonnie has a partner and I want those two to have time together." Damon said whispering the last part indicating over to where Caroline and Stefan were standing together on the side. Elena looks at the pair and giggles. She relents, takes his hand and curtsies.

"It is tradition I guess and they do look good together. Im glad we all cleared the air I feel lighter now. Plus you and Stefan seem to be getting along better already." Elena said as they walk over to dance.

Damon and Elena walk out to the ballroom as Stefan turns to Caroline with a small smile on his face.

"Would you like to dance with me Miss Forbes." Stefan asks with his hand out.

"It would be my pleasure Mr Salvatore." Caroline said with a bright smile as she took his hand and they went to the dance floor. In the ballroom, everyone is dancing the waltz.

"You look stunning. My sister has great fashion taste if it isn't obvious." Damon said with a smirk as he danced with Elena.

"Thank you. She really does, I feel like a different person wearing this." Elena replied.

With Klaus Who Had Walked Over To Angel.

"Would you care to dance with me Love?" Klaus asked Angel with his usual smirk. She looked at him raising an eyebrow with a teasing smile on her face.

"Think you can keep up Darling?" Angel asks teasingly taking his hand making him chuckle.

"I think I will manage it somehow." Klaus replied as he led her onto the dance floor. Both were smiling as they dance together.
