Andrew shot the child. Immediately killing him. Hannah had her head down due to the loud gun sound. "Get in here!" Andrew said, pulling Hannah into the house.
Once the young woman was in the house, Andrew immediately shut the door and closed a curtain on the door's windows!
Two kids then came into the foyer to see who their dad was talking to.
One was a 12-year-old girl with blonde hair, a lavender shirt, a grey jacket, jeans, and tan shoes. Her name was Jamie. The other child was a boy who was 9 years old and was slightly shorter than the girl. He had short brown hair, a light brown shirt, tan shorts, and black sneakers. That is Jamie's younger brother Billy.
Hannah was still kneeling on the floor, catching her breath. The young woman was trying to pull herself together after being chased by an undead child.
"Mommy!" Jamie said as she and Billy went to hug their mom. The young woman hugged the kids back while breathing heavily in relief. Hannah's children are alive and well!
Jamie and Billy were glad to see their mom. Hannah cupped her hands on the little boy's face and gave him another small hug. Andrew walked away from the door to face Hannah.
"On your head. You did you get that?" Andrew asks with concern.
Still breathing heavily but calming down, Hannah replies, "We-We had an accident. On Old Mill Road. These people came out of nowhere, and I swerved, and I hit a tree."
The young woman's attention shifts to her daughter. "Why didn't you stay with the car?" Hannah asks, On the verge of happy tears. Jamie, also on the verge of crying, responds with, "Thought you were dead..." The young girl goes in to hug with her mom, and Billy follows suit.
While hugging Billy and Jamie, Hannah looks over to a picture frame. It was a picture of Billy and Jamie with Andrew's current wife, Judy.
"Where's Judy?" Hannah asked as she looked up at Andrew. Billy broke from the hug to stand up. Jamie stayed on the floor with her mom hugging her.
Andrew, avoiding the question, says, "We have to take care of that gash on your head." Hannah took a second and realized she was still bleeding.
A few minutes later...
The kids went back to what they were doing. All that can be heard outside is the sound of distant police sirens.Something was clearly happening. But what?
Hannah and Andrew were sitting at the kitchen table. Andrew was patching up the bloody gash on Hannah's head. The man placed a gauze over the gash.
Hannah was still breathing heavily. But not as much when she first woke up in her crashed car.
Andrew lightly grabbed the young woman's hand and placed it on her injury. Hannah then held the gauze on her gash.
"Emergency broadcast system, it took over right before the power cut out. it's happening everywhere..." Andrew tells Hannah. "Mike Palmer swears it's terrorists." The man adds.
Hannah takes what Andrew said and is quiet for a second, processing what her ex-husband had just told her.
She exhales and responds with, "I never thought I'd live to see the day you'd willingly go by anything Mike Palmer had to say." "Well... it's been that kind of day."Andrew replied.
Billy walked into the kitchen holding a dog bowl in his arms and said, "Dad?" Andrew and Hannah look at him. "Can't find Max." He speaks with sheer worry about his pet.
Andrew replies, "He's asleep. Out in the backyard." In an attempt to ease his son's worry. "I'll go wake him." Billy insists. Andrew suddenly barks out, "No!"
His dad's sudden outburst took Billy back. Hannah looks at Andrew angrily.
"You're gonna march back in there and put the bowl right back where you found it. It doesn't belong to you. It belongs to Max! Billy nods holding back his tears.
"Go!" Andrew barks again. The young boy walks out of the kitchen sadly.
Hannah was absolutely appalled by Andrew yelling at Billy. Hannah looks at the man. "Andrew." She said in an irritated tone.
The man looks at his ex-wife. He says, "What? I'm still his father. Last time I checked." Like he did nothing wrong.
"Yeah... on weekends and holidays last time I checked." The young woman shoots back in sheer annoyance. There was silence when the both of them took a deep breath.
In the dining room, Billy puts the dog bowl back where he got it. After that, Billy leaves the room and goes upstairs. A rolled-up rug was near the dining table in the den.
It had blood on it. Then it started to move and growl...
