After a heartfelt goodbye, Jamie and her brother Billy rush down the deserted street holding hands in a tight grasp, holding on for dear life. Both are on the verge of crying from leaving their mom behind.
The girl had her mom's Beretta 92FS Inox pistol in hand. Her finger was on the trigger, ready to shoot any approaching walkers on their way to the park.
Jamie's gun hand trembled from the grief, fear, and sadness she felt from everything happening.
As well as the fact that she'd never shot a gun in her life.
While still keeping up a fast pace, Billy hears a scream of agony from the abandoned car. Jamie hears it too. But her mom's words from just a moment ago keeps her focused on the task at hand.
"You Run; you get your brother to the concession stand. Ok? I want you too run as fast as you know how!"
Billy, however starts slowing down and stops. He looks back to see where the screams came from.
It was the scream of his mother. The young woman was brought to ground by a single walker. The approaching undead soldiers and King County residents closed in on the dying woman.
The girl noticed her brother looking at what was happening to their mom. She couldn't let Billy see anymore of this.
Before the boy saw anything else, His sister tugged at his arm. Billy's attention shifted to Jamie.
"Billy we gotta go!"
"But mom is-" Billy, now about to burst into tears points to the walker group around his now dead mom. Jamie knew where her brother was going with this. But she had a job to do. She has to fulfill her mom's last request.
"I know!" The girl yelled. Also close to crying, Jamie put her hands on Billy's shoulders.
"Billy, Listen to me, Something bad is going on. We have to get to Atlanta. Do you understand?"
The boy gently nods his head. "Yeah." he says.

Billy immediately notices an approaching walker that had on a US Army soldier uniform.
"Behind You!"
Jamie swiftly turned around and faced the undead soldier about to grab her.
BANG!
Out of pure fear, She shot at the soldier. Not knowing where the bullet will land.
The bullet pierces the walker's face then instantly goes limp and falls on the ground like a dead animal.
While Jamie was catching her breath after that sudden adrenaline rush, something caught her eye on the soldier's corpse. Billy noticed too.
"Jackpot!" The boy shouted.
It was a Beretta M9 pistol and an unopened box of ammo. The gun reminded her of Mr. Carter. One of Andrew's friends and neighbors. As well as being close friends with the family.
He wasn't around, though; he went back into military service just last month after being on a break before the outbreak. He was in the Army branch of the US military.
"Hope Mr. Carter is okay..." Jamie says to herself, grabbing the gun from the holster.
