(Some time ago)

The air was tense, Sparrow looked around the room saying nothing, The Titan had already been finished but it refused to move.

But this did not deter the man ahead of her.

Len looked up with a smirk, "Well then? What do you think?"

A man stood in front of him, there was no emotion on this man's face, he had silver hair and wore a white shirt over his torso, his gaze was steeled upon the large Titan ahead of him, "...Is it active?" the man suddenly questioned.

Causing Len to drop his smirk, "No... And even if it was, it would hardly be of use in its current state. What it needs is," he reached into his pocket and pulled out a small device, it was round in nature and had a few growing green lights on it, "this. You could consider it... An engine I suppose, though it's fuel isn't cheap."

The man blinked, turning his gaze to Len, "You require more funding? Is that what you're getting at?"

Len shook his head, "Nope, as far as funding goes this is all done... The fuel is... Human, human souls. About a thousand of them, so long as they die within about... 3 meters of this thing. It'll harvest them by itself."

The man blinked before walking forward and putting his hand on the device, taking it into his own grasp. It was surprisingly light, he examined it up close before asking, "And you're certain it works?" The man questioned glancing up from the device for a moment.

Len paused looking to the side, "I haven't had the chance to test it myself as of yet..." he muttered looking at that device, "I might be making war machines but when it comes to actually killing someone? I'm afraid I'm a bit of a coward."

The man said nothing in response, simply letting out a hum, "We could test it right now." he suddenly declared reaching into his pocket and pulling out a pistol pointing it at Len. Upon seeing the gun Len's eyes widened.

"You aren't serious." he muttered under his breath.

The man narrowed his gaze, putting a finger on the trigger without hesitation, "If it is for the glory of our country there is nothing I wouldn't do."

Len narrowed his gaze dangerously, staring down the barrel, "But if you require more of these machines, you won't be able to build them without me." Len stated confidently.

The man tilted his head to the side, "We have our own engineers, they can recreate this thing here without any issue."

Len smirked, "Maybe so, that's only if they can take it apart without being blown sky high."

The man paused hearing those words, "You rigged it with explosives." he concluded.

Len winked then, "Gotta protect my work somehow."

The man then frowned bitterly, "...In that case." The man shifted his weight pointing the gun at Sparrow and without hesitation pulled the trigger.

Len's eyes widened as he turned around, seeing Sparrow hit the ground, the device in the man's hand deployed a number on its surface now.

The number 1.

The skies were still, and Tetra found himself staring up from his airship fearfully, "What... is going on here...?" he questioned, before he took a moment to glance at Draco's airship, a scowl was upon Draco's face, but he made no further moves to kill Skylar, that was relief, at the very least the fighting seems to have ceased.
