You have the biggest crush on this boy from your AP English class, Hunter Chen, but are sure he likes the new girl, Ginny.
The times you have talked to her she has been nice, but you can't help but feel envious of how she captures Hunter's attention so easily.
It was Friday night and you were getting ready to go out to The Blue Farm Cafe to watch Hunter's band play.
You finished getting changed just as your best friend texted you that they were here to pick you up.

After you picked up a few more of your friends you finally arrived at the cafe. You sat in your usual spots and ordered some sweets and drinks as you watched the band get setup.
Just as Joe served you guys your food Hunter ran up on stage. You completely forgot about your friends and the food because your sole focus was on him.
You thought he was about to start singing, but started talking instead.
He said: "Hey guys! Wow... full house! I just wanted to say thank you all for coming out and supporting our band!" And then they started their setlist.
Throughout the show you noticed that Hunter kept winking to someone. At first you thought he was winking to you, but then realized that that would be crazy. You assumed Ginny was sitting behind you and started to get bummed out, but hearing Hunter's lovely singing voice cheered you up right away.
After about 2 hours the band had come to their last song. Hunter started talking again. He said: "Wow, what a hype show!! Make sure to stream our music on all your local streaming services! Now, it is time for our last song. This is a new one I just wrote about someone special. That special someone also just so happens to be sitting right here. Y/n, this one's for you" he winked at you and started singing.
You were stunned. Hunter... THE Hunter Chen, just wrote a love song about you? OMG!!
You listened to the lyrics with so much happiness because he basically just confessed his love to you for 3 minutes straight.
After the show you were about to leave when you felt a tap on the shoulder. You turned around and it was Hunter. You motioned to your friends to go ahead and leave without you and fully gave your attention to Hunter. He placed his hand on the small of your back to lead you outside to a bench.
You guys sat down and just stayed in silence for a minute, until you both started talking at the same time: "Hunter I really like you" and "Y/n I really like you."
You both looked at each other with the most shocked expressions and then both started laughing.
"I hope you enjoyed my song... I'm hoping that I can make it into reality? I really wanna be with you Y/n, you're so smart and kind and extremely good-looking!" He said.
You smiled and responded with "Of course I enjoyed your song, Hunter! You're super talented and also extremely good-looking."
You both laughed.
"Let me drive you home," he said, and you agreed.
The whole drive was filled with laughs and you guys belting out classic childhood songs.
He finally pulled up into your driveway and right before you got out of the car, he placed his hand on your cheek and gave you a kiss. It was short, but sweet, and you both couldn't stop smiling. You said your goodbyes and watched as he pulled out of his driveway.
Best night ever! you thought as you turned around to go inside.
