You had moved to Wellsbury a few months ago and were adjusting great! You had a good group of friends and a huge crush on a guy in your friend group. His name is Hunter Chen.
He has such amazing hair and he is in a band and he is super smart and cute and really flirty with you, but there is a problem: he is dating the other new girl, Ginny Miller.
You liked the flirting, obviously, but you felt weird because he literally has a girlfriend... or so you thought.
You were chatting with Norah about relationships and Hunter got brought up. You asked if he was still seeing Ginny, since you hadn't seen them hang out together in a while (actually you hadn't seen Ginny in general), and she told you that Hunter was single.
OMG! That's so sad, of course, but yay! Hunter is back on the market! you thought.
One of your electives (that you happened to share with Hunter) was a visual arts course. For your summative project, you were tasked with going to the art museum downtown.
After the class ended, Hunter approached you and said: "Hey y/n! I was wondering if you wanted to come downtown with me to the art museum to do our projects together?"
"Yes! I'd love to!!" you responded.
"Cool," he said. "I'll pick you up and then we can drive to the bus stop. From there we can bus all the way to the subway station and get right where we need to be!"
"Wow, you really have this all planned out, don't you!" you laughed.
All he did was wink and then walk away.
The next day you put together your outfit (photo) and waited for him to pick you up.

You arrived at the bus stop pretty quickly and were waiting for a bus to come. It was 3 and the bus was scheduled to come at 3:15, so you decided to stand and wait. You guys were joking around and having a really fun time when you realized that it was 3:25 and the bus hadn't come yet.
"This is not what I planned to happen..." Hunter said, rubbing the back of his neck.
"It's okay, we can just detour and take another one." you replied.
"Well we better hurry now because we're gonna miss it!!" Hunter said as he grabbed your hand and ran to the other side of the road.
Thankfully, you guys JUST made it and ended up finding two seats next to each other.
The whole time you hadn't let go of each other's hands, and none of you were planning to let go anytime soon.
You had finally arrived at your stop and got onto the subway. You guys played a game where you tried to guess people's backstories. For example, Hunter pointed out a lady who, he claims, had just got back from a girls trip to Mexico. It was really fun and you two got so carried away that you almost missed your stop.
You guys took your time getting off the subway and walking to the museum when you got an Instagram notification. You read the notification and realized that it wasn't important, and out of the corner of your eye you saw the time.
"HUNTER!! THE MUSEUM CLOSES 40 MINUTES!!!" you yelled back to him, laughing, as you began to run towards the museum.
You got to the doors with Hunter right behind you and talked to the front desk lady. She instructed you on how to get your free tickets, so you completed your task and got your ticket really fast. You were about to go when you saw Hunter getting a bit frustrated.
"Hunter?" you asked. "What's wrong?"
He looked at you and replied, "For some reason I can't get my ticket."
"Hmm, that's weird. I'll help"
You ended up noticing that Hunter didn't capitalize his postal code and that did the trick. You both scanned your tickets and entered the museum.
Since you only had half an hour before it closed, you tried to choose the exhibits you went to wisely. There was one about a singer who you guys were unfamiliar with, but you decided to go there first.
The exhibit itself was pretty interesting. You guys saw letters that he wrote to his lovers and poems that eventually turned into songs, as well as a real Grammy award! That was really cool.
You guys then made your way through the rest of the rooms with the different paintings, making jokes and snapping pictures of some art for your project.
At one point, Hunter grabbed your hand. You both acted nonchalant about it, but inside you both were freaking out.
After you guys looked around the bottom floor you saw some twirly stairs and decided that you wanted to go up them. What you guys didn't realize was that there were soooooo many flights, and by the time you got to the top, you guys were panting.
"Oh... my... goodness..." you struggled to get out.
"Wow... we made... it!" Hunter said with fake enthusiasm, causing you guys to start giggling.
You guys went through the doors into the exhibit and were excited to explore when a worker came up to you guys and told you it was closed.
You both facepalmed and dreaded the idea of going back down all of those stairs when the worker told you guys that you could take the elevator.
You both let out a laugh and a sigh of relief and thanked the worker as you guys entered the elevator.
After reaching the bottom floor and getting out of the elevator, you two got lost and could not find the exit. Thankfully, after following a random group of people, you found the exit.
You guys left the museum, talking and laughing about anything and everything, when he lead you down a different road that you came from.
Confused, you asked, "Hunter? Where are we going?"
All he did was wink and continue walking.
You kept trying to convince him to tell you where he was taking you when he stopped in front of a little pizza place.
"Y/n, you are the person of my dreams. I wanted to make sure today was perfect, but after the whole bus fiasco, I realized that the only thing that I can count on to be perfect is you. I found this cute little pizza place and I wanted to try it for the first time with you," he said, holding both your hands in his.
You couldn't respond. You were so happy! So you did the one thing that both of you least expected you to do: you kissed him.
It was a short but passionate kiss.
When you guys pulled away you both smiled and blushed.
He grabbed your hand and you guys went inside to order the pizza.
Wow, this is everything that I've dreamed of and more!! I am so happy!! you thought.
You both enjoyed the pizza and made it home safely.
Needless to say that this was the first of many, MANY fun times together!
