TERRENCE

Max and I saw each other before I even reach the bar and without a word he said "Why do you have a Rogue with you?"

"He can help us and then dispose him after we gather more information - we can't just base anything with hearsays"

"Well good to be back" he smiled

"You jackass - still mateless?" I teased

"Shut up not because you found yours doesn't mean I'm your bitch"

"You bet - you wanna take that Rogue or you wanna do tracking instead?" I asked him

"I'll do the tracking so we can end this bullshit"

"I called the right person for the job"

"You always do"

I went up to our room to see Scarlet lying in bed she looked tired but forcing her eyes to open

"Hey" I greeted her while I remove on my leather "You had fun?"

"Yeah - how was your day?" she asked

"Good we got a lot today" I answered as she sat up

"Like what?"

"We got a Rogue on the dungeon" and she was surprised

"What changed?" she asked probably like why I didn't kill him

"He knows a lot better than we do and I need him"

"You're not telling me everything" she said

"I don't want you to worry besides it's my job"

"Yeah I guess"

SCARLET

Everyone was having their breakfast when Tara spoke "Alia's back in town"

And everyone stiffened Max even coughed up

"Who?" I asked

"No one" Terrence answered when he said no one that girl is someone

I was with Tara back in the kitchen helping the others clean up and I asked her "Who's Alia?"

As she looked around "She was Terrence's ex-girlfriend - she fell in love with him like really ten times - I remind you Terrence were mate less by then so he gave it a shot and sure for love's sake they dated and everything but Terrence got tired he didn't want her because not only she wasn't her mate but Alia wanted them to get married - insane I know - when Terrence said No, Alia spread out that she was pregnant so when Terrence made sure she was she asked Sedna's help if it was true - Sedna told him he wasn't so Terrence confronted her and called Terrence a coward, irresponsible father and whatever - but Terrence were smart she knew Alia would do something so he gave her a watcher and that night Alia went home with a guy and do the thing the watcher said Alia's wanting to get pregnant so he can prove Terrence she really was"

"And she just left?" I asked

"Well Terrence hated to be lied on nor cheated on - that morning he went to Alia's house and there he saw them still on the bed naked - Alia told him it was his fault so Terrence gave her a chance leave the pack or she'll banish her"

"And Alia chose to leave - so why come back?" I asked her

"She has family here still and one of them is Terrence best fighter"

"You don't have to worry about it Scarlet - I'm sure she wouldn't dare to go near Terrence" she assured

I was back at the pack house when I heard something downstairs leading down the dungeon and I didn't hesitate to go down to look for it and I heard some metals getting banged together I went near and it stopped I looked on a cell where eyes meet mine and a pang of coldness from the man went up to my spine

I stood up for a minute not knowing for how long - the first time I have an engagement with a Rogue

"Why are you here?" he asked and I didn't answer

"I heard you're banging upstairs"

"He won't let me live will he?" he asked me as I looked at him

"I have a family too you know but nevertheless you won't believe me" he said

"If you're trying to get me into it - it won't work"

"Just what I thought - you just wanted to save yourselves"

"That's not true you Rogues start fights then war then killing"

"You think others do it in purpose?"

"What else should I think?"

"You know they're going to torture me tomorrow and I need to be wary if they kill me I won't see my family again"

"I can help you" I offered

"What can you do beg your Alpha not to kill - honey, thank you but he won't listen"

"I'm his Luna and I don't kill" his eyes widened "How come you're here when you have a family?" I asked

"Because if I don't fight for them they will kill them - you think those Rogues you killed haven't got anyone to protect? - they do it for a reason - how many do you think hated war on that side?" he asked me

"Why don't you ask for help then?" I asked

"They're too many and some of them can't be trusted"

"You can trust me"

"If I do I put them on danger your mate is a terrible one he kills no matter what we do - we give them clues but instead he kills"

"Where is your family?" I asked

"You get my family then your Alpha will kill me in front of them?" he asked

"I'll make sure he doesn't I will do anything to get your family as long as you make sure you help us"

"What guarantees do I have?" he asked and the only thing that I could is to bond a promise to him so I cut on my palm and offered it to him he was surprised and I can feel he was hesitant about it

And then I heard my name getting called upstairs

"Come on" I told him hurriedly as he got back to his senses and bit his palm and held onto his hand

My name then gets louder and louder upstairs

"My wife is located not far from here a mountain pass my wife is a shaman and she has the power to hide things perfectly here take this" as he handed me a crystal "Down the riverbed you'll see a bird nest just facing the river 10 trees away shout my name Umiak"

"That's the sign that all I can think that she'll hear you we've been fooled before so you gotta try and get them here" he said as then I heard footsteps getting to us "You must promise not to tell them" as I stood up but he pulled my hand

"I promise" and then he let go and Terrence showed up

"What are you doing here?" he asked me as he looked at the Rogue and I looked at him

"Scarlet what are you doing down here?" he asked me again

"I heard some banging down here and I didn't realize he was down here" making sure he doesn't see my hand as he pushed my back as we went upstairs he held my shoulders "I never wish to see you down here again Scarlet specially talk to them - they will get you and then will fool you" as I nodded

"Promise me" he said

"I promise" as he hugged my head

"How'd you know I was there?" I asked him

"I followed your scent - Is everything alright?" he asked me

"Yeah - Sorry I went down there" I told him

"No worries"

"I need to get back to Sedna - she's about to teach me more about medicines"

"I'll drive you there besides I need to meet up with Max"
