Matthias is an Idiot

Matthias did not think he had ever seen a relationship as pure as Kaz and Inej.

Of course, both had their flaws, such as the demjin's tendency of murder. But their overall dynamic reminded Matthias much of his parents. Nina spat out the water she had been drinking 

"what in the name of Sankta Alina!" She yelled 

Matthias then realized he had just said that out loud. Everyone was staring at him, and the demjin's afore mentioned murderous qualities came out.

"Are they married or just engaged?" Matthias asked her.

Jesper stared at Matthias "if that is pure what are Wylan and me? Saints?"

"No," Matthias said, confused. Maybe it was the language barrier. "The demjin and Inej have a respectable Fjerdan marriage."

Nina gently patted his arm "Matthias love you need to stop before Inej murders you in your sleep."

"Oh," Matthias said. "Are they merely courting? Has the topic of marriage not been approached?"Wylan simply stared before he burst out into hysterical laughter "hahahahahhahaha" that cued Jesper and Nikolai who was there for some reason to burst out laughing as well.

Matthias furrowed his brow. "I am confused."

Nina responded. "Hey guys, what do we call the Inej and Kaz ship dynamic?"

The entire room all shouted except Matthias and Kaz "sloooooooooooooooooooooow buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurn deniiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiialllllllll!"

"I'm leaving," Kaz announced. He got up and was in the doorway when he called back, "Wraith?"

"Coming." Inej replied following him.

"Oooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooh," choroused the room. Kaz gave them a death glare as he left. Once he was out of the room Nikolai slung an arm around Matthias's shoulder 

"dear man you have no brain."
