Chapter 21: Hangover

Kai blinked his eyes open, his head was throbbing and he could feel a weight on his stomach, he was able to force himself up to see Nya and Lloyd's heads being the culprits. He smiled slightly as he petted his little brother's head, minding the small horns, he glanced around the room and saw the others laying on a massive pallet on the floor with several blankets and pillows. He also saw his and the other's older counterparts on the couch and chairs passed out.'What happened last night?'

He went to readjust his arms only for his hand to land on something soft and not pillow shaped. Looking over he a red dragon plushie, he assumed it was a dragon even though it didn't have wings, with big eyes and fluff going down its back. He held it in his hand and looked over it, Nya groan and the weight of her head disappeared as she sat up rubbing her head. "You okay sis?"

She looked over at him, her eyes blurry, "Kai?" She looked around and saw the others all asleep, "Why were we sleeping here?"

"No idea," his eyes then caught in the crook of her arm, a similar-looking dragon plush, only this time it was cyan with grey highlights. She also had one? He tried to think about what happened only to groan as another wave of pain crashed. He shook his head, only to turn when he heard moving blankets. Komo-Lloyd's eyes were open as he sighed, "You're back to normal."

He blinked, "What?"

"Do you guys remember yesterday, like at all?"

Nya had fully sat up, plush still in her arms, "No when I try to think about it my head just hurts."

Komo-Lloyd stood up, his back popping as he stretched his arms up, "Maybe we should wait until the others wake up, it'd be better just to explain things once."

Nya sighed, "I'm getting some painkillers, need some Kai?"

"Fuck yes," he muttered as the throbbing wasn't going away, he laid back down to try and somehow numb the pain but to not wake up Monty-Lloyd. "If Lloyd starts swearing because of you, I'm kicking your ass."

The brunet scoffed with a teasing grin, "Hypocrite."

"Might need to get some for the others too," Komo-Lloyd suggested as he and Phoenix-Nya walked into the kitchen.

"First Master..." Sparky muttered as he laid his head on the dining room table, his head was hurting like a bitch. He and the others woke up not too long ago and were immediately offered painkillers from Komo. His body also felt sore and he couldn't remember what happened like everyone else. Except for Monty who was grinning with the familiar look of mischief in his eyes, like when he was about to pull a prank.

"So can someone explain what happened yesterday? I can't remember a thing," Cole asked as he rubbed his temples.

Blaze took the mantel, "So do you guys at least remember that you were turned into kids?"

There were many blank looks only for Frosty to respond, "Kind of, it is sort of hazy but I believe I do recall that. It was a spell from a demon?"

"Yeah, and at the end of the curse, for one day you guys became actual kids. Like you didn't have your memories or anything."

"What?"

Storm took over with a slight chuckle, "Yup, and we had to play babysitter! Monty has some videos~!"

Oh shit.

The younger team looked at the youngest who was now cackling, "Yup!" He pulled out his phone and after a few taps pulled up a video, it was of Frosty, Firecracker, and Phoenix watching the tv with wide-eyed wonder, and the little raven started asking a bunch of questions to Storm as she was on the couch watching them.
