[10:23 AM - Central District Shopping Complex]

The pair is currently walking in the mall with Kristoph pushing the cart... somehow. [Y/N] asked them previously as a joke but the man insisted so who were they to decline?

Strolling through aisles, they only grab what is absolutely necessary for the time being like hygiene products, quick meals, and a charger - especially the charger. The two of them talk casually about several things like Kristoph's recent case- in which they find out the defendant was actually innocent- and tea preferences.

The tea part sparks up when [Y/N] chuck in a box of roselle sachets.

"I see you much prefer roselle tea," the man comments, his forearms crossed and resting on the handle of the cart. [Y/N] hums in response and affirms, "it smells nice and tastes sweet but not overall too strong."

Kristoph nods at the reply. He doesn't actually prefer it as much since the scent is too strong for his liking. He mentally sighs to himself and agrees to disagree.

Seeing the two go around together has caught some curious glimpses of people, mostly just curious to find out the relationship between [Y/N] and the infamous attorney especially since they seem to be doing groceries together.

They both notice this but choose to ignore it, plus it's not as bad as getting paparazzi all up on their faces like last time with the younger Gavin. Maybe having Kristoph tying his hair down was a good choice, he doesn't look as recognizable from afar.

Kristoph strikes up a conversation concerning the information he's received from the himbo detective. "I went to see detective Gumshoe, the one who works under Edgeworth to see what we can work with."

[Y/N] turns to him while continuously walking, "woah, what? Is Mr. Edgeworth actually on the move for us?" They keep the tone low to avoid hearsay witnesses. The man, however, pushes his glasses and sighs.

"I don't know yet, he is... out of the country as of now."

They grasp the information, 'wait. He's just... not here at all right now?'

Their eyebrow lifts, "isn't that a good thing? He's not gonna bother us anymore right?"

With nearly half the cart being filled, [Y/N] tells the man that they're done with the items they need. They feel bad if he needs to pay too much, grateful enough that he's paying as it is.

"Yes and no," Kristoph replies. His eyes wander to [Y/N]'s face to see not a glance of worry but more of confusion. "Him being away doesn't stop him from sending people to watch over us or catch us. What's worse is there's a chance of us not even knowing who it will be."

[Y/N]'s arms cross over their chest, "good point, so we do still have to be wary of things. That's okay, we can work it out somehow. For now, I'm going to stay lowkey at my place or even yours since it's easier."

Recommending to stay at HIS place short-circuits his mind, "... No. Staying at my place will only lead to an easier discovery. It's better you stay where you're at."

They merely nod in agreement.

The two of them arrive at the cashier and Kristoph pays with his card. It's a black card with a symbol engraved at the top left corner in gold. The symbol is written in a foreign language so they can't read it.

The cashier looks stunned to see the card and [Y/N] wonders why. Perhaps it's a premium card from a high-end banking service. They leave with [Y/N] carrying the bags and into the car.

Prior to arriving, a woman bumps into them and passes by without even looking back. [Y/N] still says sorry out of habit but turns to see no one. 'So much for politeness.'
