[IMPORTANT: first and foremost, we apologize for uploading this late. We genuinely didn't know how to proceed with this since it's just a silly little book but considering how some people are genuinely engrossed we might restructure a genuine plot. Other than that, sorry for the misinformation, we forgot a few points along the way...]
[ 9:05 PM - Borscht Bowl Club]
Pheonix Wright, the man himself. Right here standing in front of [Y/N]. He looks rather... sloppy. With an unkempt beard and a beanie, even down to the gray sweater jacket in which he tucks his hands in.
They do not see him as the man they highly spoke of several years ago.
Kristoph notices their slightly shocked expression and leads the conversation, "this is Mx. [Y/N] [L/N]. They knew you back when you were an attorney." Phoenix turns his head towards the person, extending an arm, "oh, nice to meet you. I don't really get many visitors like you these days". He smiles warmly.
[Y/N] subconsciously shakes his hand in return, finally snapping into reality. "Oh! Yes, it's great to actually meet you in person, Mr. Wright."
Kristoph signals the man to sit down with him which he accepts. 'What is this jerk up to now...?' [Y/N] can't help but think. There's nothing to gain from this, for all they know this could purely be for Kristoph's sick entertainment or to find out their true view of the law.
Pheonix speaks up, "I see Klavier's here too. Didn't realize you were tagging along."
"Aha, just wanted to sit down for a drink with [Y/N]. We were originally going to meet up by the two of us but my brother had something to discuss with them so might as well," the man in the purple overcoat chuckles.
The casual interaction seems to confuse [Y/N], 'Mr. Wright doesn't... hate the Gavins?' They watch as the three of them converse, everyone just seems to be normal friends. Nothing like what they had initially expected, perhaps Wright doesn't know they were the cause of his disbarment. At least it won't be awkward between them.
Should they just ask him directly? No, that's unwise. Why would they stir up trouble in a situation that they're not even a part of? This is just stupid.
Seeing him in person and knowing he's doing well is enough for [Y/N]. Well, maybe not that well but he'll survive.
"So, Mr. Wright. Have you been a pianist here ever since you got out of court?" They ask. They should get as much information as possible without posing much suspicion.
The man in the beanie grabs a bottle behind him and pops the cork, "yep, it's pretty chill down here. I usually play poker with people. No actual money is involved, of course. This isn't a gambling den."
"Oh, I thought you only did piano?" [Y/N] asks.
Klavier replies to the question, "aside from that, poker is his strong suit too. I have never won a single game with him before."
"Haha, I'm just a lucky guy," Phoenix smiles.
Wow, what bullshit.
"That's really impressive! I wish I can play with you but the only card game I know is Blackjack," they shake their head. Phoenix ponders for a moment.
"Hm... I can play Blackjack too. It's much simpler and faster after all," he takes a sip of his wine. "We can even play a round right now if you want."
'... Huh?'
"Surely you won't turn him down, [Y/N]?" Kristoph's voice sounds from the other side. 'Ugh, of course.' They mentally roll their eyes. Although playing with Phoenix Wright himself isn't exactly a bad deal.
