Audrey's POV
I slammed open my closet and began shoving clothes into a suitcase. I couldn't go back to work and I needed to get out of the city before dawn.
But where will I go?
I paused my packing and sat down.
How am I sure he even knows what I am?
But he did say I was strange.
What if he was just suspicious and running away would confirm his suspicions?
I sighed in frustration. I had two options and both of them were a gamble.
Do I run away and put a target on my back?
Or do I continue work and possibly walk into a trap?
Well, he did say he hoped to see me again.
So he's expecting me.
So the somewhat safer option is to go to work tomorrow.
But I need a plan B.
I stood up and continued packing, making up my mind.
If things seem odd, I'm hightailing it out of there.

"So, Grey"
"Yes mom"
"Any girl in the picture". I looked up from my food.
"What are you talking about?"
"She's asking if you've started dating anyone", my dad chimed in.
"I thought you were encouraging him to wait for his mate"
"We were but he explicitly told us he'd no longer be searching for his mate, despite all our efforts", mom said.
