"Sorry, not this time." King said.
"King!" Luz yelled out, tearing up.
"Luz, I'm so happy I had you as a big sister." King said.
Before Luz could respond, we were cast out that portal. All I could hear was the sounds of rain, and Gus weeping. The feeling of the cold rain hitting my skin, and dripping down my arms gave me the shivers.

I cranked my head to the side so I could face Gus. His hands covered his face, but I could still tell he was crying. I crawled over to him, and gave him the tightest hug I could ever have given. He hesitated for a second, but eventually hugged back. I  looked away to see Luz up at the old door we had been pushed out of.

She opened and closed it endlessly,The door seislessly creaked again and again. We all watched her for a minute, until she gave up. Her arms flopped to her sides, clenching hard. As tears filled up her eyes, she turned to face us.
"Come on," She said, walking down the creaky stairs of the old building. "Let's go to my house. My mom will be able to help us."
For about a few minutes, I followed Luz and the others into the woods.

As I was walking, I looked around to see looks of sorrow, and a hint of guilt in the eyes of my freinds. As I held Willows hand, she squeezed it, tightly, but not tight enough to hurt me. I put my hand on her shoulder, and she gave me a small smile. Not much, but it was still heartwarming. Alot of things about her are heartwarming.

Her smile, Her perfectly shaped glasses and they way they laid on her face, shes beautiful. But right now, I have to focus on what just happened. My thoughts are cut off as we arrive at what Luz said what was her house, she knocked at the door.

We all waited for a minute, staring at anyhing besides each other. Our feet, the sky, the trees behind us, anything. As the door creaked open, we all looked up at the same time. As I saw the woman who opened the door, I could instantly tell she was someone who was related to Luz.

Her curly hair, her dimples, her tanned skin, and the allways remaining twinkle in her eye, there was alot of resemblance between the two. As they made eye contact, they both started to tear up.
"Hey, mom.." Luz said. "I'm home."
They both burst into tears, and embrace each other in a tight hug.
"Oh my goodness, I missed you so much! Are you ok? You look hurt. Your mama will destroy those who have laid a finger on you!" The woman exclaimed.

"Mama, it's okay. I'm fine!" Luz replied, leaving the tight hug. "These are my freinds, Hunter, Willow, Gus, and my girlfreind, Amity."
I could see Luz's face turn a pinkish-reddish for a hot second.
"Really?! Aque lindo!" The woman chuckled.
As Luz goes on, explaining what happened, I take a peek into the small looking house. I see a green figure sitting in the corner, at a table far enough away that I cant see.

They where eating somthing from a bowl. They sure as heck aren't human, neither witch. From what I could see, they had a bullish green tail and blue soft looking scales on the sides and top of the tail and no legs to be seen. They also had messy blue hair, and white spots all around they're body. It seemed familiar, but I shook it off.

I look back at the woman, she's finishing her sentence.
"Anyways," She starts, I'm Camila. You kids are welcome to stay here as long as you need!"
We all trail into Mrs. Camilas house. It looks small compared to the castle. But the house was very cozy looking. Everywhere I turned I could see some sort of cushion. On the couches, chairs, even beanbags in the living room.

"This place is nice!" I could hear Gus say from behind me.
I kneeled down at the couch and felt around the cushion.
"This is softer than my bed back at the castle!" I whisper-yelled.
"Really?" Said a familiar voice from behind me.

I cranked my head over to see who it was, and it turned out to be willow. My face turned a pinkish-reddish at the sight of her, thank god she didn't notice.
"I feel bad for you!" She said.

"I would be too." I said.
Willow quickly looked away and cleared her throat. "Anyways, Its getting really late, and we all had a... a long day. We should probably get to bed."
"Couldn't agree more." I replied.
We both got up and parted ways.

I went to the kitchen to find once again, the green person. They where washing the same bowl in the sink. I squinted my eyes to get a better look, and suddenly it clicked.
"A BASILISK?!" I yelled unexpectedly.

Everyone in the room jumped, and I even managed to startle myself. The basilisk slowley turned, It had a calm but slightly irritated look.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to yell!" I say, giving an awkward smile.
How did a basilisk get here? Are they from the human realm aswell?

"Hey." The basilisk says, cutting off the everlasting silence between us.
"How did you get to the human realm?"
"It was a long time ago  I dont know how to get back."
"Oh" I said, finishing the conversation.
So they aren't from the human realm. I wonder how long it was been since they got here! But how did they talk, none of the basilisk talked back in the castle.

My thoughts where cut off when Camila started speaking.
"Ok. So who is sleeping where?" She said.
Luz replied.
"Well I can only fit 3 people in my room including me, so 3 people can sleep in my room, and another 3 can sleep in the basement.

Gus gave me a small smirk.
"Me, Hunter, and Willow can sleep in the basement, if that's okay with them."
I nodded my head in agreement, and Willow did the same.
"So than its settled." Camila said. "Luz, Vee, and Amity are in Luz's room, while Willow, Hunter, in Gus are in the basement."

At least half an hour later, we where all ready to sleep. All the sleeping bags, pillows, blankets mattresses, etc where all set up. As soon as I laid down on the matress, I realised how tired I was. Gus was allready snoring on the couch, so I stayed quiet.

For a good five minutes, I just laid there, fidgeting with my hands. Falling asleep seemed impossible like allways, so I didn't bother trying. A few minutes later, Willow stepped in. She looked tired, but she had beautiful posture. Her hair was down unlike usual, and she was wearing a green tank top and white sweatpants.

"Hey, Hunter." She said.
"Hey." I replied with. I could feel my face warming up as she sat beside me.
"You holding up okay?" She asked me.
I could hear her breath. It was calm, and short.
KEEP IT COOL, KEEP IT COOL.
"Pretty good." I said.
"That's great to hear!" Willow said, laying down.
As I watched her, I played down aswell.

"Well, night." I said.
We both turn sides, and its quiet for another 7 minutes. My eyes started to get heavy. And after a while, I drifted off to sleep.

And after a while, I drifted off to sleep
