Taking a bite of my toast I quickly read through my notes while also trying to find my shoes. The phone started ringing the moment I caught sight of my shoes. Groaning I picked up the call and took another bite of the toast, the screen came alive with the faces of Akku and Sid, "Is it something important?" I asked quickly as I flipped to the next page.
"Well hello to you too." replied the two amused at my panicked flipping of notes.
"Yea yea hi"
"What's the rush?"
"What do you mean what's the rush? I have an exam, you know that."
"But it's your last exam, relax," said Sid.
"It's JD sensei's subject. I don't wanna get low grades. Now if there is nothing important then cut the call."
"Rude" replied Sid in a dramatic voice.
"Wait don't tell me you opened the book last night and didn't prepare beforehand? Oh God, you never change, do you? You always study on the same day as the test. Always."
"Awww that's what I need right now... your scolding...LET ME STUDY... BYE," I replied glaring at them.
"Okay okay.. we just wanted to say all the best... bye." They both laughed and cut the call. I went back to my rapid revision or rather learning sprint. I finished with my notes by the time I reached the end of the stairs to the ground floor. Bidding goodbye to Granny and Gramps, I started my bike and was off to college. Stopping at the grocery store on the way, I quickly handed over the list and address Granny asked me to give to her regular grocer, I made my way to my bike when I saw a truck approaching a person just a few meters in front of me. It didn't seem to slow down, afraid that the driver might not accidentally run over that person, I grabbed the person's arm and pulled him out of the way just as the truck sped past us. Realizing that the truck was intending to run over someone I couldn't help myself from yelling after the speeding truck,
"HEY, WATCH WHERE YOU ARE GOING YOU BRAINLESS MORON", I turned to the person, "and you should be careful where you are walking. There are idiots like th-" my scolding/warning was cut short at the sight of the person standing across me. He seems to be watching back and forth from the truck to me and back to the truck.
"This could have been my last day just now", he stared at me for a few minutes which was long enough for me to come out of shock as I remembered,
"Doh! Exam! I'm gonna be late." I made a run for my bike and was about to start the engine when the person I just saved, the person who is the main antagonist of this here world I currently am in, Bhavani started speaking, quickly grabbing my attention,
