I concentrated my anxious mind to the beautiful long bridge that we are about to pass through but it did little to calm the erratic beating of my heart. I am really tense to the point that I couldn't control my hands from fidgeting.

"Friend, I can still make a u-turn ya know!" Irin suggested, worry was seeping through her voice. We are now heading to Armstrong Estate. My home. I requested her to bring me there right after we attended our last class.

"No! Please continue!" I replied, unable to hide my nervousness.

"Your father and brother might think that you are being treated unfairly if they see you and going back home to stay there can ruin the negotiation between your family and the Grimaldis', don't you think?"

Blinking several times, I pondered on my friend's argument. She's right. Yet, the thought of seeing and talking to Freen after our quarrel this morning makes me feel petrified. I am not yet ready to face her right now.

Beep. Beep. Beep.

Both Irin and I glanced at the rear view mirror to see the car which is suddenly buzzing its horn nonstop behind us.

"The hell with that person? Couldn't he just over take? There's no traffic anyway!" Was Irin's irritated comment, she even buzzed her car's horn multiple times in return as a result of her annoyance.

"Stop that!" I cried out in fear to which she looked at me in absolute confusion and shock.

"Huh?" She blurted, then focused her eyes on the road again.

"It's her!" I said, terrified.

"What?" Came her horrified response. "What do you mean it's her? Professor Freen?" She added when I didn't answer. I was busy looking at the car behind us.

"Drive faster!" I admonished Irin to which she listened. Her car is now running 100 kilometres per hour compared to 60 kph seconds ago.

Beep. Beep. Beep.

Freen's car keeps on buzzing, signalling us to stop.

"Should I stop?" Came Irin's worried reply. I swallowed hard, not knowing what to do. I'm scared of what might happen if we stop the car, yet I'm also scared if we continue to speed off, ignoring her. She was pissed off with me a couple of times this day already. Then just as I was about to speak, I saw the black sports car over taking us with a lightning speed. Freen's car is now ahead of us, then all of a sudden she manoeuvred to the right side, halting her car which effectively blocked our way completely, making Irin hit the brakes in a hard stop. I thought for a moment that I'm gonna fly to the windshield, if not for the car's seatbelt — thanks to the one who invented this safety feature.

"Sh*t!" Whispered Irin. Like me, she's currently fighting for her breath.

We both watched Freen in terror as she got off from her car and walked towards us with an unreadable facial expression, stopping right in front of Irin's passenger seat. The closed car door being the only thing which separates us.

"Girl, I don't wanna die!" Irin exclaims, her tone made me feel more frightened if that's even possible. "She's not gonna kill us right?" She said further then turned to look at me, her eyes are wide open. This is the result of her watching too much thriller movies. I exhaled deeply as I replied to her, suddenly coming to a rational realisation.

"Of course not! She can't do that. She's just following orders from Sebastian Grimaldi, and killing me is certainly not one of those!" I said, convincing myself about my own statement. Irin nodded. Our heads simultaneously turned to where the woman is when we heard a number of soft knocks on the car window.
