Freen

In the midst of my fits of rage, I caught a glimpse of the ashen face of Sebastian Grimaldi which fuelled my anger even further. Instead of going for the throat of Victor Grimaldi to end his undeserved opulent life, my feet brought me in front of the unsightly young man. Though he didn't move his body far away from my grasp, where in fact I think he should, yet his eyes juggled beseechingly between mine and his younger brother. Apparently asking Sergio to intervene once more.

"You!" I declared through gritted teeth.

"Me?"

Sebastian asked in befuddlement to my sudden attribution. He even pointed his index finger towards himself. Despite the constant ringing in my ears, I still heard his repulsive voice loud and clear.

"What did I do? I didn't do anything!" Came his additional question and abrupt defense as he fiercely eyed me with a baffled expression.

That's the thing. You didn't do anything to protect her! I thought to myself as my eyes flared in extreme fury.

"Freen, what's gotten into you? He is Sebastian!" Hearing Sergio's earnest voice as he shielded his brother partly from my view, my burning orbs was then transferred towards him which made his gaze wavered momentarily.

That's exactly the point. He is Sebastian, that's why I'm after this f*cking asshole! I nearly voiced out.

"I'm Sergio. Your brother!" Sergio added when my glare didn't falter to calm me down from my outburst. He always hates it every time I would remind him that we are siblings in paper whenever the man would throw casual romantic remarks at me. It must be the only way he could think to save Sebastian from the latter's imminent doom. Nevertheless, it did little to appease my wrath.

"Do not interfere, else you'll be hurt!" I censured him in a low and solemn tone, enough for the three of us to hear. Sergio's dapper appearance darkened in unmitigated shock and vexation.

From the corner of my eyes, I could see Sebastian prudently pulling something from the inner side of his tuxedo which must be his hidden gat. My lips automatically curved into a vain smirk which unsettled Sergio.

"Do not be too slow. Pull the trigger already as this might be your first and last chance!" I told Sebastian as I returned my gaze towards him. However, my admonition briefly halted his movements prior continuing his motion with a sullen face.

"Are you crazy? I'm not going to kill you!" He replied while his scowl bores deeply into my skull. Sebastian immediately showed his concealed hand in plain sight as he exhibits his phone whilst dialling someone in a hurried fashion. My eyebrows wrinkled in confusion at his unanticipated actions. Didn't realise that this ill tempered man has some sense in his brain not to contend in my state of ire.

"Jeff! Summon father here in the patio near the grand hall!" Came the curt order, his voice barely hiding his tension. He finished the call and lowered his arm to his side whilst intensely looking at me.

"No need!"

A daunting voice cuts through the jittery atmosphere, making us all faced the overpowering man. He is currently wearing a disapproving facial expression as he rounded the surroundings with his protruding icy grey eyes. His silver hair due to old age isn't brushed in a polish manner coupled with the simple white dress shirt and dark slacks he is sporting, makes me think that he just rushed towards here to check the commotion which interrupted him from his bedtime sleep.

"All of you, come into the conference room right now!" Fabio Grimaldi ordered, then he turned his back from us and began to walk towards the direction of the mentioned room with the help of his wooden cane. Each underboss present in the scene followed suit, even Victor who was then overseeing the family doctor and nurses who are attending the wounds of his son.
