It had been a few days since the greenie had arrived in the glade. All of the jobs had resumed as normal and Thomas was finally settling in. Minho hadn't spoken much to the boy after the bonfire, his eyes kept drifting in the direction of him though. Minho was very curious of the brown-haired greenie and tried at any chance he got to figure out what this feeling of familiarity was. Why did he care about this boy so much?

Suddenly, Minho stopped running, it was almost like his body had brought him to a holt. There was something in front of him. A Griever. It's slimy, mechanical body lay on the floor of the cold maze. A brownish-grey slime was oozing off of it's massive, machine mouth. It's metal tail was slumped across the side of the wall, lifeless. Was it dead? Minho kicked it, no movement. It was dead.

Minho ran like a cheetah back to the glade; it was still early, he could still show Alby and get out of the maze by that afternoon.

Panting, Minho ran up to Alby pointing at the maze doors ''Dead *pant* Griever. In maze'' Alby looked at him with an estranged yet hopeful and curious look ''A dead what!?'' he exclaimed ''Griever,  a dead griever Alby.'' Minho panted excitedly.  He was practically bouncing off the walls. Alby's face lit up ''Show me!'' He screamed, overjoyed.

The two boys ran into the maze. Twenty minutes later, they finally saw it. The griever. Except something was different this time. Had it moved? ''Alby don't touch it, something's.. different'' Minho warned. But it was too late, the creature had already risen up from the ground ''RUN!'' Minho screamed. The sound of mechanical whirring and deep growls filled the air, almost deafening both of them. It arose to it's hind 'legs?' and began to chase them, it's foul stench becoming more and more apparent the closer the beast got to them before finally, it caught up to Alby.
