"I give up" Robin says, as she looked to me perplexed "why do you look like the cat that got the cream this morning"

Cricket looked into the mirror from behind me as she laced up my dress, and the look she gave was a knowing one.

"Rowan here had a late night visitor" Cricket teased.

I look back to her in the mirror and scowl.

"Who" Robin asked excitedly as she made the bed.

"Cricket is mistaken..." I half lie.

It wasn't that late.

"Cricket is not mistaken" Cricket returns, whilst she shook her head and tightened my dress purposefully roughly. "Cricket got thrown out on her butt and had to listen through the door like we were seventeen again"

Robin pauses the bed making and throws herself on top of it, leaning on her elbows as she eagerly awaited details. "Tell me... everything"

"Robin" i acknowledged, turning in my chair and throwing Cricket off balance. "There is absolutely zero sordid details"

"Hmm" Robin murmurs "not quite believable Rowan... It's been that long since you had a visitor to your bed chambers by dark. I had almost forgotten the look you get after a night of...."

"Don't say it" I say, cutting her off.

Robin smiles, and Cricket turns me back to the mirror to help style my hair.

Robin jumps down from the bed and joins her as they fawn over my hair and pin it up. She bends down and looks to me in the mirror, her hand reaching up and pinching my cheek "You get these really pink cheeks" she teased "flushed if you will"

I brush her away with my hand like swatting a fly. "Stop it... there was no intimacy last night... as Cricket knows. I did not have a visitor long enough for that kind of fooling around"

"I seem to remember you and that Princess not needing long either" Robin accuses.

My eyes widen "Robin don't mention that again. Not now Andy is here... she could overhear you"

"And we wouldn't want Andy to get jealous would we" Cricket taunts. "Although if you wanted her back it could be a way to get her attention on you that little bit quicker"

I shake my head "that's not the way I want it. And anyway, Andy is already thawing... and inviting Luna here couldn't be more perfect"

"How" Robin asked, going back to the bed making "you've invited the girl she's sleeping with to the Oak. Making it easier for them to get together"

I smile a wicked smile.

"Uh oh" Cricket muses as she finished my hair and recognised the look.

"Uh oh indeed" I return pleased. "Poor Luna is about to do all the leg work for me herself. She will suffocate Andy in days ... I hope she visits Andy a lot. I hope she makes herself reeeeal available to her"

"You make zero sense" Robin accuses "Zero"

"Just watch and learn girls" I inform them. "Watch ...and... learn"

"Slowly slowly catchy monkey"

***

I barely slept, my mind was going around in circles for hours knowing that both Rowan and Luna were now under one roof. I still didn't want to be forced to wed Rowan, yes we were more civil now, yes she was getting under my skin, her magic and all, but I wanted a say in it too. Was it too much to ask that Fae wed for love?! Not by force. These rules must change and I was planning on working my advantage as the Queen Consort and assisting in abolishing rules that came from a time as old as dirt. Olamoore needed to be brought into the modern world... the Fae that were to be born once again under Rowans rule, they must be born into a fairer world. The one thing I new about Rowan, she would want that too, it was something I knew we could do together, and it warmed me to the idea of taking that place beside her.
