Kaveh's pov:
I had just moved in with Alhaitham. And in all honesty, I hated him instantly. The male's cocky attitude. He acts like he owns all of Sumeru! With his fancy books and his stupid headphones..I'd kill to wipe that smug idiot off of his high horse. I let out a sigh, fixing my blonde hair, braiding it and putting his feather and hair pins in. there he was.that tall gray haired brute, on his couch, reading without a care in the world. I couldn't even get a good morning out of the bastard.I cleared my throat "Oh good morning roomie, Good morning Alhaitham!" I stormed off as Alhaithem could be heard letting out a deep chuckle "You should know by now that I don't have time for your childish behavior," the male's tone broke the silence. I let out an annoyed grumble. I haven't even done anything to him..Yet at least. Nevermind that, the point is he's such a jerk! Alhaithem got up and grabbed his keys, heading for the door. The male never even said goodbye to me. Utterly disrespectful in my book.nonetheless I stood up and started getting dressed. I put on my boots and headed for the door. Another boring day of work but that's nothing new. I always seem to get the most annoying Clients at work whilst Alhaithen's job was all roses and peaches all all great. I bet he gets fed grapes by women as he works! It seemlike everything he did pissed me off. I decided I should just get to work. I walked out of the house and started getting to work. It was a hot day out in sumeru. At this point I'd feel better being frozen by a cryo slime than dealing with the heat. It was finally time to go home. I made it home, knocking on the door only to feel something heavy leaning against my back. I turned around to see Alhaithem leaning on me, unlocking the door "Next time don't forget your keys." he scowled, walking inside. "I didn't lose them!" I huffed at him.He gave me an unconvinced look "Where are they then?" He raised an eyebrow. Right then and there I stopped in my tracks "In my pocket!" he frowned "Go on, Show me them." Alhaithem replied. Knowing very well I had no idea where they were, I would never give him the satisfaction of telling Cyno my dumb mistake "I don't have to show you anything" I crossed my arms, walking in the house, taking off my boots. Who did this asshoe think he was? Alhaithem let out a chuckle "Did you check on your bed, Kaveh?" "Yes, actually. I did." I bluffed, he was making me more worked up every second I spent with him. I earned an eye roll and a scoff from Alhaithem. He looked more disappointed than anything. I walked upstairs, getting into more comfortable clothes. I let out a tired yawn as I sat on my bed, laying on my side.
Alhaithem's pov:
I saw Kaveh storm upstairs, I couldn't help but to snicker a bit. Did he actually think I believed him of all people and didn't forget their keys? He forgets them everyday so I made it a habit to come home around the tie he does to let him in. I let out a sigh, walking upstairs. I knocked on Kaveh's door. "Kaveh, you in there?" I questioned as I waited for a response. " What do you want." Kaveh snapped right back. "We are supposed to meet Cyno and Tighnari for cards this evening. Did you forget about that too?" I retorted back. I was getting pretty tired of his whiny, arrogant tone but there was little to nothing I could do about it. Well, besides kicking him out. " You can go. I'm staying here. " Kaveh grumbled as he crossed his arms, knowing full well he'd be forced to go. "Your loss..Cyno will be disappointed though." I sighed dramatically. In all honesty I just didn't want to go alone. "Fiiiine." Kaveh groaned, rolling out of bed, opening the door. I sighed, putting on my boots again, watching Kaveh do the same. I grabbed my keychain off the hook, walked out the door, Waiting for Kaveh "You won't get drunk tonight, Will you? You're a burden when you're drunk.." "No promises!" Kaveh grinned, putting his hands behind his head as he walked out the door. He was basically acting as if he was on a catwalk. I let out an annoyed huff. He was always like this towards me but I guess it was normal. I should be used to it by now. I'm the acting grand sage, yet, I could never tell if Kaveh hated my guts or if he was like this with everybody.
Kaveh's pov:
I heard him let out an annoyed huff, grinning. Nothing satisfied me more than hearing him so upset. Alhaitham had a frown on his face, it seemed he really hated it when I got drunk. I never gave a shit though. "Something wrong Alhaitham?" I had a cocky grin on my face as he glanced at me, shaking his head with a sigh. "Why do you look so disappointed? I thought you wanted to go play cards with Tighnari and Cyno?" I snickered, knowing full well it was my cocky attitude. In return Alhaitham let out an unamused groan as he frowned "Kaveh, Knock it off." He had a dangerous edge to his tone..Was this idiot actually trying to warn me? "Knock what off? My attitude? Yeah. That ain't happening, buddy." I laughed at his unamused look. His eye twitched a bit as he kept walking, He shivered when he got out of the building. The cold dark and dense air rushed against his skin. It didn't help that he wore only a skin tight t-shirt and pants. He walked towards the tavern, shivering a bit.I walked behind him, snickering at him. He returned my snickers with a glare as he finally made it inside where it was warm.I followed Behind him. There We were greeted by Cyno and Tighnari. Alhaithem sat down, smiling softly at Cyno. it was rare he saw the male outside of work so he took the few times they played cards to bond. I sat down right next to Alhaithem after grabbing a glass of wine. I glanced at him, grinning as I took a gulp of the wine. Alhaitham's eye pierced at me like daggers as I finished the entire glass, smirking. I knew I pissed him off, That's exactly what I wanted but the idiot had no idea! I had him right around my finger. Tighnari and Cyno snickered at their bickering. He snatched the wine glass out of my grasp, slamming it onto the table "Kaveh." he spoke sternly. "Awe c'mon! It would take a few more glasses to get me drunker than a door knob." I whined, crossing my arms as I glared at him. "Kaveh, Stop." he scowled at me like some type of annoying dad. I grabbed my glass back, pouring more wine into it, sipping it. Who does he think he is giving me orders!? A few moments went by, I wanted to Alhaitham even more upset than he already was. I took my glass and sipped it a few more times until I caught his attention. I then drank the rest of the wine in one foul swoop. Alhaithem clenched his hands into fist giving him a "This isn't over" look as they started playing cards. He ofcourse won, nobody could beat someone as smart as him in a game of pure strategy. I was already drunk at this point I drunkenly blurted out slurred words "No fair! You always win!" I complained. He gave a cocky grin "I always win because all of you are too quick to make a move. Tighnari thinks things through which is why he almost won." He added. I pouted, narrowing my eyes. "You're just lucky.." I hiccuped, crossing my arms as I looked away from him. He rolled his eyes, "You've had too much to drink." "Have not!" I snapped back. "Come on,Let's go home,Kaveh." He grumbled at his arrogant tone. He offered his hand so that I wouldn't fall. I scoffed, taking his hand as I stood up, stumbling but caught my balance shortly after; I laughed nervously. He shook his head in disappointment, Slowly walking him back home. Once we got home I took off my boots. Alhaitham was on the couch, Reading a book. I found myself stumbling over to him, laying on him.The male narrowed his eyes "Get off of me, Now." He demanded. "Noo.." I shook my head, drunkenly as I found myself practically hugging him. He shoved him off, he didn't care if he was drunk or not, he would never sleep with him. I huffed, sitting next to Alhaitham as I crossed my arms. I started getting the hiccups again. Alhaitham put his book down, picking me up bridal style, carrying me to my room. He put me on my bed before heading to the door. He walked to his own room.
Alhaitham's pov:
Once I finally put Kaveh in his bed I headed for my room. He was very annoying today and the last thing I wanted to do was cuddle with him. Not that I would if he was nice. Kaveh is a brat, there is no other way i could possibly word it other than like that. I told him not to drink so much but he never listens to me. I don't know why. I haven't done anything wrong to him. Well atleast to my knowledge. He always acts like I have though. But in all honesty, I could care less if he liked or hated me. Or at least I thought. Deep down I knew I cared.but I swore to myself I would never show weakness to anyone, especially not Kaveh. I fell asleep pretty soon after, I guess I was more exhausted than I thought.
