chapter 8

"What are you doing here?" Camila asked her dad.

"I'm here to take you home?" Alejandro say.

"I'm not going back papa." Camila say straight face as she tries to close the door to Alejandro but he blocked the door frame.

"Mija, please let's talk about this. Please let us in" he pleaded.

Camila contemplating whether she'll allow them to talk to her as she look away to his eyes.

Ally make her way next to the door, "Please Mila." She spoke as she looked straight to Camila. Camila sighed deeply as she let them inside her and Lauren's little home.

Alejandro was accompanied by Ally, Normani and Dinah. The three girls sit on the single bed while Camila and her father sit in the small table beside the window.

"So this is the place that you're staying in?" Alejandro asked to break the ice.

Camila nodded not bothering to answer her father.

"Where's Lauren?" Ally asked.

Camila looked at her sideways and answered, "She's still at work." Camila explained.

"Is she the one that took you away?" Alejandro spoke irritated.

"She did not took me away papa, I went with her willingly." Camila tell him with the same irritation.

"How can you say that she's not up to something? Who knows what she can do. You don't know her too well, I can't just trust you to some stranger. Maybe she's just manipulating you." Alejandro blurted out angrily.

"And you don't know her too!" Camila shouted and rolled her eyes.

"She's leaving you here alone how irresponsible? Mija, why don't you just come with us? She does not understand what you really need. I know you're being confuse right now and impulsive and this, this place is not good for you. You're not supposed to live like this, you deserve so much more. I can give you so much more." He said pointing at the single bed and the small bathroom that became there home for a couple of months now.

"How would you know what I deserve if you wanted me to marry that asshole." Camila snapped, tears forming in her eyes.

"We love you Mila, we don't want you to throw your life away for her. There is so much more opportunity for you, please listen to us. Remember we are still under contract and we are seven months behind now, were very fortunate that the record company does not pulling our contract out." Ally making her point very clear.

"Looked at you, you lose a lot of weight. Don't deny the fact that this was not hard for you, for both of you." Normani noting the fact.

"You really worried me MIja. You're Mami and I really can't sleep at night just always thinking about you." Alejandro said truthfully.

Camila look down as she was crying hard now. Dinah walked beside her and put a comforting hand on her back.

"Please stop crying." Dinah spoke with sadness.

"I... I can't just... leave her." Camila said in between sobs.

"Mila were here for you. No matter what, we're always here." Ally hugged Camila for comfort.

"You really worried us Chancho, for almost seven moths we're looking for you." Dinah said.

Camila felt strangely out of it. She knew her father and friends had a point but still she didn't want to go back if going back means continuing the engagement.
