Chapter 22

Yibo was sitting beside Wu Mei in Empress palace. The maid came and arranged the tea table.

"You can go." Wu Mei instructed the maid. The maid bowed and left the chamber.

Wu Mei poured some tea for Yibo. "What do you want to talk about?" Yibo asked while sipping his tea. "You said it's important."  Yibo playfully raised a brow knowing she didn't like Lusi. Perhaps she said it was important so that Yibo would come with her instead of Lusi.

"I said it's important because it's really important." She said calmly. "An informant sent me a massage. She is finally awake." She said smiling emotionally.

Yibo's fingers, which was holding the tea cup, trembled slightly. He was feeling a range of emotions, but his expressionless face remained the same. He actually doesn't know whether he should be happy or sad. Wu Mei recognized his inner turmoil. She took both of his hands in hers and smiled assuringly.

"Your majesty, everything will be alright." She assured.

"I hope so." Yibo looked at their entangled hands before removing his hands. "Oh I'm sorry." Biting her lower lip, she immediately retracted her hands away. Yibo sighed.

"Rest assured A-mei. I'll get going." Yibo stood up.

"But your majesty.." Wu Mei interrupted.

"Please Wu Mei, I want to be alone." Yibo left the Empress palace immediately leaving Wu Mei who was looking at him with concern and longing.

There were so many thoughts racing through his mind. With the unexpected news, his head felt heavier. He wanted to clear his mind right now. It seems like his head will explode any time soon.

Yibo went to meet the royal tutor. Yuan was now receiving education from their royal tutor. He wanted to know about his child's progress.

Even though it was the first day he enlightened Yuan, the royal tutor was amused by Yuan's level of education. He was far more intelligent and wise for his age. Zhan appears to have provided him with a royal education that included all of the necessary etiquette. He will be a great emperor one day.

Yibo felt an overwhelming sense of pride within him. Yuan is, of course, his child. He is the crown prince of Gusu, and one day he will become the Emperor.

On the other hand, Yuan don't like to stay here. But he promised his mother he won't miss his education nor the training until they leave Gusu. So he agreed to get tutored by royal tutor in Gusu and will be trained under the general in Gusu.

As it was already time for Yuan to visit their royal tutor, Yibo left after discussing his plans for his child. He met Lusi again when he exits the royal school. Yibo sighed annoyingly. He had completely forgotten that he had promised to pay Lusi a visit.

"Greetings, Your Majesty. Is it really that difficult to spare me few minutes?"

"Lusi actually I'm quite busy with some matters. I'll be available in the evening. I'm going to pay you a visit at that time." Yibo made an excuses. At the exact time Zhan came to drop Yuan to his tutor. Seeing Lusi and Yibo together again Zhan rolled his eyes who knows for how many times. What an eyesore. Why the hell is this bitch everywhere he goes?

"Your majesty!" Zhan and Yuan bowed and greeted Yibo, without even sparing a glance at Lusi. A small smile appeared on Yibo's face seeing his little sunshine again. Yuan was looking down so Yibo crouched down at his level.

"Won't you look at me?" Yibo cooed smiling softly. His son appears to be adapting so well to their kingdom. At first he was always hidden behind Zhan's legs without facing anyone. This was the first time he faced Yibo after coming here, even though he still didn't looked at his eyes directly. Hearing his dad, Yuan hesitantly looked at him only to see a soft smile on Yibo's face. His little angel's big doe eyes were one of the most beautiful things for Yibo. He is just perfect.
