I have no time for myself ever

I have no time for myself ever. From shoots, concerts, events, and meetings in ALWAYS busy.

I barely have time to breathe. It's tiring but it's what I live for, It's all worth it. Not to mention the random chaos that always finds a slot in my already jam packed schedule.

Being raised in New York, you think you've seen it all. People are being thrown into subways, celebrities asking you for directions, and even naked people walking times square with electric guitars as underwear.

And as a model, sometimes our work is less humane than that. Less that a guitar to cover ourselves. But that's just the reality. I love my work, I really do. But I wish they'd see us all as more than mannequins, from day one.

Having made a name for myself, I am a more respected and sought after. I have people bringing me coffee at shoots and even an assistant on some shoots. I mean the coffee really isn't necessary but the creatives I work with love to have others treat me like royalty. which isn't necessary, especially for me.

I promise I'm not ungrateful, it's just that it's really not needed, at all. Some of my family upstate think I'm ungrateful and take my career, which I've accomplished by myself, with no nepotism may I add, and take it for granted.

My one and only friend in this industry, who is coincidentally my roomate, Elizabeth is also my therapist at this point. From being treated poorly on sets, to being treated like a glass doll who might shatter, we've talked about it all. She gets it.

The only person that truly understands is my Lily. I swear I love that girl. She always knows what to say.

"ELLE! HURRY UP! MACARA DOES NOT TAKE THAT LONG!" I am awakened from my daydreaming when Lily starts yelling at me.

Shit. I forgot we're supposed to be going somewhere.

"LILY I'M COMING WAIT" I shout back as I hurriedly apply mascara onto my other eye. I grab my bag and slide into my platform boots, while checking myself off in the mirror. I decide to smudge my lipstick a little because it looks way too clean for a rock concert.

I take a look at my outfit and surprisingly enough, I think i've done well.
