Dabi
Things have been moving fast at the League. Well, we are no longer called the League but the Paranormal Liberation Front. That whole ordeal took way longer than it should have, I didn't like leaving Y/N alone that long but we made up for lost time on her day off. Now that I am part of the vanguard, I am able to get back to Y/N more and honestly coming home to her is like a breath of fresh air. I sometimes find myself forgetting about everything else. She is honestly all that matters to me anymore.
Of course I going to keep doing what I am doing with the vanguard, but if something happened I could see myself giving it all up for her. I've heard Toga talk about it quite a bit, this thing called love. When I watch Y/N sleep at night I begin to think I know what Toga is talking about. So that is what made my conversation with Shigaraki so infuriating.
Shigaraki and I were in his office having a conversation about what to do next. Honestly all I could think about was getting back to Y/N, so it really threw me off when her name fell from his lips. I knew they had a history and he would mention her from time to time but never in the middle of a conversation about work.
"Are you going to see Y/N tonight?"
"Yes. What does that have to do with work?"
"Have you thought about what will happen when she finds out the truth?"
"She hasn't figured it out yet, she doesn't watch the news." I waved, dismissing the idea. Y/N told me she didn't watch the news because she didn't want it to effect how she treated patients. That explained why she didn't go running for the hills when she found me in an alley all those months ago.
"Dabi...what we have planned isn't some small scale operation. Everyone will know...I also assume Y/N will be on the front lines..."
"I wont let her get near this!" I snap. The thought of her anywhere near the battle puts me on edge.
"Do you really think she is going to set on the sidelines. She's going to be out there healing anyone she can, no matter what side they are on. That's who she is." I knew he was right but I didn't like it.
"You talk like you two are old friends you barely know her."
"I've had Toga follow her a couple times. I know more about her then you think." My eye twitched at the news he had my girlfriend followed, especially by Toga. "I think...it would be best for everyone...if...you stopped seeing Y/N." I jumped out of my seat, blue flames licking my fingers.
"What the fuck did you just say?!" Shigaraki didn't flinch. He must of known how I would react.
"Do you really think it's the best idea to show Y/N your true colors while she...likes you, or will it be easier on her if you have ended things? Once the hero's are gone you can work on winning her back." He has a point, she will find out eventually. The pain of the truth might be easier to swallow if she is already swallowing another pill. I didn't like it though.
"What are you implying?"
"Break up with her Dabi. Tonight."
"Tonight?!"
"Do it tonight or I will send Toga to do it. That's an order Dabi." I bit my tongue, feeling my body temperature rise. I'm sure I have smoke rolling off me. I press a tight smile on my face and bow.
"Of course your majesty." I bite out before slamming the door behind me. Fuck! How am I going to do this? I cant loose her. As I spiraled into a panic attack I realized that Y/N meant so much more to me then I thought. Thinking about what I have to do tonight gutted me, I don't want to see her cry. I only want good things for her, for us. Because deep down, as I gasped for breath from my panic attack, I realized something. I loved Y/N.
