To Save Him

I was two days away from find out the sex of the baby when the hero's put there plan into motion. Keigo and Rei were both excited because they both declared they were coming to the doctors appointment. Rei had really stepped up when I needed her to and accepted us with open arms.

Instead of being excited about the baby I was overwhelmed in the front lines of an all out war. While the planned places for the attack had been evacuated there were still some stragglers who ended up in the crossfire. Keigo begged me to stay out of the way but my quirk was to useful for this situation.

So that's how I found myself stationed at the closest hospital with full privileges. My parents, who are still stuck in a different country, where on video call stand by. There was a tv playing the news over the nurses station so we all could keep tabs on what was going on. The more prepared we could be the better.

It didn't take long for people to start piling in, and while I tired to focus on what was happening in the ER my attention kept going back to the TV. To a certain blue flamed man fighting his younger brother. If I strained my eyes enough I could catch the tip of blue flames out the ER doors. They were far away from us but I could still see them meaning they had to be huge.

I remember back to the time I used my quirk to heal his scars. It didn't take long for them to return, he said it was from using his quirk. Although I never said anything I noticed the scars slowly overtaking his healthy flesh. By the size of those flames I knew he was causing more harm to his body. He was killing himself.

That thought made my stomach drop. Touya was going to kill himself without ever knowing that he is going to be a father. I didn't want that. I didn't want to live without him. I couldn't live without him.

"Mom, dad." I grabbed the tablet that was hosting the video call to my parents. "I'm pregnant, if something happens to me Rei Todoroki has a copy of my wishes for me and the baby. I love you guys." I put them down and headed towards the blue flames. I could hear them yelling after me but I ignored them. I couldn't stop now.

I wasn't sure how far it was to Touya, I didn't stand a chance to get there on foot though. I looked around for anyone who might be able to help. That was when I spotted a student helping get a patient into the hospital.

"Hey, do you by chance have a flying quirk?" The student stopped what they were doing.

"No but..." They looked around before pointing to a girl in blue. "Windy does. She might be able to help you."

I took off in the girls direction before he could finish his statement. I grabbed the girls arm, distracting her from ushering people towards the entrance.

"I need you to take me to the blue flames."

"I've been told not to leave the hospital."

"I'm Dr. Regen." I showed her my badge. "I need to get there to help. Just get me as close as you can and if anyone says anything to you tell them to talk to me." Windy gulped and nodded.

"Ok, hop on." She said, motioning for me to hop on her back. I did and we took off. Windy dropped me off behind the Flaming Sidekickers. I ushered her to leave before running up to Burnin.

"Dr. Regen, what are you doing here?" The green flame woman asked, her eyes nearly popping out of her head at the sight of me. Civilians weren't allowed near the fight.

"I'm here to save his dumb ass before he kills himself."

"Listen doc I know you are close to the Todoroki's but Shoto has this. There is nothing you can do to help him."

"I know Shoto can do this, I'm talking about Touya." I felt anger boil inside of me, or was that from all the fire? How could Touya even think of leaving me? Leave us? "He's gonna spend the rest of his life repenting for how he broke my heart." I told Burnin what I needed them to do before heading towards the fire fight.

The closer I got the more my heart sank. I couldn't make out any unburnt flesh, he was pushing his quirk to the limit and still trying to surpass it. He had a wild look in his blue eyes, that didn't seem like the Touya I knew. Something just didn't seem right as I looked at him.

"Touya!" I screamed out over the crackle of the flames.

"Y/N, get out of here!" Shoto yelled at me. I paid him no mind, my eyes were trained on Touya. Touya watched me with a wild curiosity. I took a step towards him, reaching out to him.

"Touya, please. I miss you." His charred face scrunched up at my words, eyes darting back and forth between me and Shoto. He seemed to be thinking, deeply contemplating what to do. I kept taking slow steps towards him, something wasn't right.

"You remember that night we watched the stars in the park? I want to do that again." Touya reached up with his hand and tugged on his hair.

"Y/N..." My name slipped out of his lips, his voice having an almost demonic tone to it.

"I'm here Touya. Let's go home..." Touya pulled at his white hair in pain. He was struggling with something, that became even more evident when he looked up at me. His crystal blue eyes shown he was fighting his own internal war. Blood trickling down from his eyes.

"Y/N...Please help me..." He sounded so small, and vulnerable. I rushed forward to him only to be stopped by his body being engulfed in blue flames. They were so hot that if not for my quirk I would have turned to ash. "You think you can save him, he is mine now." The demonic voice broke through again followed by a scream.

Touya wasn't in control of his own body. He wasn't trying to kill himself on purpose, he didn't have a choice. Seeing his flesh burn away, the blood leaking from his eyes as he screamed in pain pushed me into motion. I didn't want to see him like this, I missed the loving caring Touya I spent countless nights with.

I dove through the flames and wrapped my arms around him. I kicked my quirk into overdrive. I focused on repairing Touya and keeping myself and baby alive. I needed to keep his organs working, I must keep him alive.

"Touya, please come back to me." I squeezed him tighter, hoping it would pull him back to me. My body started to convert parts of me into my quirk. While I had a good idea of what was going on all I could focus on was Touya. "I love you Touya." I caressed his face, pulling him down to me. I captured his lips and forced all the love I could through our kiss.

Touya's body grew slack against me, the heat of his flames disappearing. I felt his arms slowly embrace me and his lips move against mine. I continued to pump my quirk into him until we were both incased in ice.
