Remy POV
Im on the way to go pick up iris from her house ,I told her to be ready by 7:30 but knowing her we aint leaving till after 8

I pulling into her complex when my phone started ringing

can you come up im not ready yet i rolled my eyes and turned off the car

i said okay and hung up

Iris wya i asked after opening the door
in here i heard from her bedroom

I walked back to her room and seen she was curling her hair she already had her outfit and makeup on

she looked so beautiful i just had to stare at her for a second i just wanna put my fin-

girl can i have my mf face back damn i heard breaking me from my innapropiate thought s

i cant look at you now i said back
you can but not that hard

We pulling up in the parking lot now of J. Alexanders

i got out the car and helped her out

thank you she said after i helped her
we walked into the restaurant and were immediately seated because i made a reservation

once we were seated I seen that Iris was just looking around the place

yu okay? i took her hand in mine from across the table
yea i just never been here it looks so fancy and expensive and i really appreciate you bringing me here it nice she said with her face softening

you welcome mama i said kissing the back of her hand

The waiter came to our table and ask our orders we both ordered the shrimp and steak meal with a lemonade

Thank you for coming on a date with me iris i appreciate you i said
your welcome she replied

no i dont think you understand how much i really care and appreciate you. You are my everything honestly i dont know what i would do without yku the years that we went without talking broke me but now. that i have you back im very grateful and i never wanna lose you again tears started to fall down my face as i kept talking but she reached across and wiped them even thought her eyes were watering too

i never wanna lose you either remy she smiled softly
i was hoping you would say that because i want to ask you something my palms randomly started to get sweaty as my nervousness level went up

she nodded her head waiting for me to ask my question

Iris POV
As i was waiting for her to ask her question the waiter came back out with a plate and a silver bowl on top

he sat the plate infront of me and then just walked off, i looked to remy and she has a nervous look on her face and i can tell that she is playing with her fingers under the table

i took the silver bowl off the plate and there was a white piece of paper sitting upside down

i flipped it over and read the note

:I never wanna lose you, so will you be my forever and be my girlfriend?

I looked up at remy with a smile on my face and tears running down my face
