“Let’s go, two minutes people, let’s go.” You heard your father, Jake Sully, say over your earpiece. You and your brothers were flying on your Ikrans around the perimeter of the supply lines. Usually, dad wouldn’t have let you come, but your mother, Neytiri, said you could do anything they could so he let you come.
“Bro, we have got to get down there!” Lo’ak said. He wants to fight. Be like dad, a well-known warrior, but he’s simply too young. “No way, dad will skin us!” Neteyam spoke. You can clearly see who’s the responsible brother. “C’mon! Don’t be a wuss.” Lo’ak said before heading down. “Lo’ak get back here you-! AGH!!” Neteyam cried out, starting to head to him but you stopped him. “Neteyam, this isn’t a good idea! We’re all gonna get killed and we’re gonna get blamed; again!” You yelled at him. You and your brother always took the blame for Lo’ak, it didn't matter what he did. “I know, but if he gets killed…” Neteyam trailed off; your head nodding signaling to him you understood, heading down with your Ikrans.
“Taking the whole case, we’re taking mags, the RPGs, the stingers.” Norm spoke out, you could hardly hear him in the distance as you landed. “Bro, let’s go, come on!” Lo’ak shouts at us as you grumble under your breath, “Skxawng..” as you ran after Lo’ak while Neteyam was yelling out for him. “Take that weapon, go boy, go!” a man handed Lo’ak a gun. No fair, I didn’t get a gun.. You complained silently, grabbing your bow, and looking at the arrows you made. They were similar to your mother’s but yellow and green rather than green and blue. You walked back to Neteyam, regrouping. “Lo’ak; you don’t even know how to use it.” Neteyam scolded, grabbing his brother’s arm tightly but still loose enough to where he could slip away. “Dad taught me.” Lo’ak smiled and cocked the weapon, which in turn made you scoff. “You’re going to get yourself killed Lo’ak. Don’t you dare fire that weapon!” You yelled at him.
You felt eyes on you, you knew it was dad. “Neteyam, dad’s watching us…” you whispered to him as Lo’ak looked through the scope, aiming at something he decided to focus on. Just then you heard your dad yell, “GUNSHIPS INBOUND! FALL BACK!” as everyone started to run away from the flying machine as it shot explosives out of the front. You and your brothers were running as you tried getting to your Ikrans. “Come on bro!” One of them yelled. Just then, an explosion hit where you three were sending you flying.
You ended up next to Neteyam, getting up regardless of the immense pain you felt in your lung and torso area. You looked away to see someone shoot down the gunship. Looking back at Neteyam, you held his head, “DON’T YOU DARE PASS OUT ON ME!!” You screeched at him, causing him to wince. Your ears perked up as you heard a familiar voice, “Lo’ak, (Y/N), Neteyam!! Where are you!?” He yelled for his kids. You’re guessing he found Lo’ak because it got silent for a second. As you were holding Neteyams hand, your rips started to burn; you needed to lie down. You lay next to Neteyam squeezing his hand, “It hurts, brother..” You said in a soft voice, the best you could muster up. “I know, (Y/N). We’ll get home and the Tsahik will take care of us..” He spoke, his eyes wide seeing how much the explosion bloodied up your body. “We’ll be okay.” He trailed off, losing his voice as he laid his head back down. “Neteyam! (Y/N)!” You heard your father yell again. You wanted to yell back but it was too painful as of right now. Neteyam, who was laying on his stomach got turned around by your father. Jake took your hand and Neteyams face and held it, “Dad..?” Neteyam spoke in a soft voice, Jake picked you both up, looking at your beat-upp back and then your brothers. “What are you doing here, boy? What the hell were you thinking!? And you,” he looked at you and shook his head in disbelief “You too?!” You heard a small, “I’m sorry..” from your sibling before your dad pulled you up over his shoulders. “Sorry, sir…”

You rode in on your Ikran, you and Neteyam sharing looks of worry about your fathers wrath.
Landing your Ikrans on the ledge, your younger sister, Tuk, goes and hugs your mother.
“Fall in!” Your father yells. ‘Uh oh, here it comes…’ you look at your brother, he has the same look in his eye. “You’re supposed to be spotters. You spot bogies and you call them in… FROM A DISTANCE! Jesus, I let you three fly a mission and you disobey direct orders. Kiri, can you go help your grandmother with the wounded, please?” Jake turns to Kiri. She starts, “My brother is wounded.” “No, please go! Tuk go with her, go!” He pleads with your sister. “Sir, I take full responsibility-” Neteyam interjects. “Yeah, that’s right. You do. Because you’re the older brother you gotta act like it.” Dad was being too hard on him. ‘Should I speak up..? I’m gonna get hell for it if I do..’ “MaJake, your son is actually bleeding” “Mother it’s fine I-..” Neteyam stutters his way through his sentences. Jake contemplates what to do for a second. “Go and get patched up, go on.. Dismissed.” He looked at Neteyam. He looks to Lo’ak, “You do understand that you almost got your siblings killed.” “Yessir..” “You’re grounded, no flying for a month.” He spoke out Lo’aks punishment. “Now see to the Ikran while I talk to them. Go; and get that crap off your face.” He spoke, keeping you there. Lo’ak looked at you and mouthed sorry as he walked off. “And you (Y/N), I know this was your first mission but you could have died. Look at you, you’re heavily wounded and I wouldn’t doubt if your rib is broken!” He yelled at you, pointing to the forming bruise on your side. “Sir, I’m sorry but if you would understand that Lo’ak-” You started but was cut of by a slight scoff from Jake. “I know you want to protect your brothers (Y/N), but if they hadn’t taken down that gunship I would have lost all of you except Kiri and Tuk!” He cried out as you looked at the ground. “I believe you had it under control, but babydoll, I will not lose you. I can’t lose my family. I will protect you even if that means being harder on you than most.” He brought your face up with one finger seeing tears swell in your eyes, he pulled you in for a hug. “Now, lets get you to your grandmother.” He said, kissing your head.
