“Ow.. OW!!” Neteyam winced “Aww, a little kiss on the boo boo?” Spider made fun of your brother and you slapped his ankle. “Give him this.” You heard Kiri tell Tuk, handing her something. “I would use yalnabark.” Kiri told the Tsahik, your grandmother. “Oh you would? And who is Tsahik?” She said, hardly looking at your sister. “You are gran- move” She pushed Lo’ak out of the way, “You are, grandmother but yalnabark is better.” She explained. “Ow, oooooou, ow!” Neteyam exclaimed, painfully. “It stings less.” Kiri said as a final word. “What?” You heard your father say. You didn’t mean to listen in on their conversation, but it was hard when they were so loud. “Neteyam, (Y/N), and Lo’ak tried to live up to you. It is very hard on them…” Your mother waited a second for him to respond; “I know.” he said, gruffly. “You are very hard on them.” she said, going more in depth. “I’m their father, it’s my job.” He said, loading and cocking the gun he was fiddling with. “This is not a squad. It is a family.” Your mother retorted, sternly. It took a second for your ears to hear anything else. “I thought I lost them..” You could hear the sadness in his voice. It was starting to get painful to listen to.

You walked into the section where the Avatars and Sky People group up with Kiri, Lo’ak, and Spider. You got a lot of looks from everyone else because of your giant bandage, wrapped around your rib and torso area. “Hey there,” Spider said to one of them. “Hey Spider.” Norm said, toothbrush in his mouth and towel in hand trying to hit spider with it. “Your a** is mine!” Spider chuckled and Norm said, “I’m right here!” He laughed, putting his hands up in mock defeat. “AVATARS ONLY! GO AROUND!” You heard, and you and Kiri looked at each other and put your hands up and said “Meh Mah Meh meh mehhh” at the same time sticking your tongues out and laughing. “Sorry!” Lo’ak apologized. “Blue stripes don’t make you any bigger bro” Lo’ak said, “He’s just spitting facts here I guess.” You laughed at both of the boys. “Yeah, well I can still kick both your a**es.” Spider laughed.

You walked into the lab, putting on a mask of pandora air and taking a breath. “Yeah, haha. Real hysterical guys.” Spider said, “I know, right” You laughed back at him. “You know what really sucks though, you can breathe Earth air for hours and I can only breathe it for like, 10 seconds.” He complained. “Yeah, monkey boy, that really sucks… for you” Kiri said, tackling Spider. You saw Lo’ak flinch so you put a hand on his shoulder. Just then you saw Spider grab Kiri’s tail. “Oh!” She exclaimed and then hissed at Spider which caused him to hiss back. “Hey Max!” Kiri said, backing off. “Hey, what’s up Max?” Spider asked. “Hey kids.” is what all that he replied with. You watched Kiri walk over to her mom, Grace. You walked over to her, admiring the way she looked at her mom. “Hi ma.” She smiled, hopping on top of her mom’s cryo capsule and hugging it.

“Maybe I’m losing it out here but I see real evidence of a systemic response on a global level. I can’t… I won’t use the term intelligence in its own. Maybe Awareness is a better word. It’s like the entire biosphere of Pandora is aware and capable of this.. Cognitive response. Oh crap, I can’t say that… they’ll crucify me…” You kept listening to Kiri’s mother on the video until you heard Lo’ak say; “So, who do you think knocked her up? Pretty sure it was Norm.” “Totally.” Spider replied, agreeing. You just scoffed and laughed when Kiri said, “You do not deserve to live.” You looked at her face and giggled when you saw her dumbfounded expression. “Think about it right. He’s the teacher's pet. He’s always at the lab with her all the time.” He said, pointing at the video. “I would kill myself. I would drink acid” She accented the word acid in a way that tickled your brain. “Bro, you’re right! He’s like in every shot!” Spider pointed out in the video as well. “LOOK! He’s giving her looks!!” Lo’ak laughed along with Spider. “Hey!!” You could tell Kiri wanted to slap them. “I’m thinking… they’re two Avatars in the woods… all alone~.” Lo’ak says, tail swaying and putting his hands on his chest. “GROSS!” Kiri yelled as she pushed Lo’ak. “Guys! Sometimes it’s not so great to know who your father is…” Spider explained. We all just looked at him. ‘What a pushover.. Honestly can we not do something fun without being reminded that his dad was a bad guy? It’s kind of annoying..’ you thought, grabbing something just to stop looking at him. “Whatever..” Spider jumped off of the cryo capsule he was on. “I don’t even remember him..” “No, Spider..” Lo’ak started. “Dude..” “Spider… you are not him.” Kiri whispered to him. “Hey, you’ll be okay, let’s go!” You said running out of the lab.
