Kova's lashes fluttered open before slamming shut against the bright light filtering in through his bedroom window.
"Argh," he groaned, pulling the warm comforter up to cover his wild bed head.
Kova sighed in relief when the brightness disappeared, blinking his eyes open once more beneath the safety of his soft, warm, dark blankets. He slowly began to stretch out his arms and legs, back arching off the bed like a cat as he groaned again. This groan was full of satisfaction however, as his sleep-stiff muscles stretched and warmed with use. He yawned widely, rubbing the sleep from his eyes and relaxing back against the mattress. He turned his head to sniff the same dirty tshirt that still laid across his pillow. Jaspers scent was beginning to fade from the fabric, but it was still faintly there and immensely comforting to the werewolf.
He remembered then that he'd promised Bella his Mac and cheese for dinner tonight, and made a mental note to make a trip to the small grocery store in town for the right ingredients. The Swan's didn't keep that much dairy stocked in their fridge. His mouth watered just thinking about his moms Mac and cheese recipe... he wondered if vampires could eat human food.
He shot up in bed instantly, the warm blankets pooling around his waist.
He could see Jasper today.
His stomach flipped with both nerves and excitement as he reached for his phone, plucking it from the charger. He saw a text waiting for him from the southern vampire, and fumbled to unlock his phone to read it as soon as possible.
Jasper: Morning Darlin'. Do I get to see you today?
Kova's responding smile was wide and nearly painful as his heart stuttered in his chest at the idea of spending alone time with the beautiful vampire. And the fact that he'd gotten to wake up to a good morning text... how sweet is that?
Kova: Morning! My day is wide open.
Kova: which means yes, you get to see me today.Jasper: Where do you want me?
Kova thought about that for a moment, avoiding his thoughts plummeting directly to the gutter. Was he ready to officially meet all of the Cullen's and see their home? The idea didn't immediately terrify him, so he supposed he could probably handle it. But considering the fairly private conversation they needed to have today... perhaps a bunch of vampires with the same supernatural hearing that he possessed being within earshot wasn't the best scenario.
Kova: can you come here? Privacy is probably best for this.
Jasper: I like the sound of alone time with you darlin'
Kova: easy there cowboy...
Kova smirked as he glanced at the clock, he'd slept in to a glorious 9:30. He wanted to be showered and fed before Jasper came over, and he'd need at least an hour or so to accomplish that.
Kova: see you around 10:30?
Jasper: Count on it honey
Kova hopped out of bed excitedly, never having been this awake so soon after waking up before. The werewolf was not a morning guy, and took time to become a reasonable person to be around. But the prospect of seeing Jasper apparently blew that normality right out of the water. He practically sprinted to the bathroom, going through his shower routine as quickly and efficiently as possible. Although, he did pause a moment to enjoy the warm vanilla scent of his body wash that the steamy shower dispersed throughout the bathroom. He towelled out his hair, shaking it like a wet dog before heading back into his room to agonize over just what the hell he was going to wear.
