Today was the day Addison was leaving. Me and the rest of the cheer squad walked into Zombietown, just to see Addison with her suitcase and talking to the rest of the Aliens.
"Think of me when you use them. They're supposed to shake, not me." Bree said handing Addison pom poms, as she pulled Bree into a hug
"Hmm. I'll miss you, bestie" Addison tells her
"Oh, I'll miss you, extra-terestie" Bree said making us laugh. Addison turned to me and gave me a hug.
"Thank you for believing in me and trusting me" she said as we pulled away
"Of course. I'll miss you" I say
"I'll miss you too" she said smiling then looked at her squad "We are the Might Shrimp couldn't be prouder" Addison cheered
"And if you can't hear us. We'll cheer a little louder" The squad cheer back. Zed came walking up with a bag over his shoulder, standing beside Addison.
"I don't want to leave, but the Aliens need their home." Addison said looking at Zed and she looked heartbroken.
"Yeah, I know. Which is why I'm coming with you!" Zed said pointing to his bag
"What?" Addison said with a huge smile
"It is impossible, Zed" A-Lan said
"Only our species is capable of space travel on the Mothership" A-Spen said
"You'd be fried by our stardust energy in a minute." A-Li said. Making Zed and Addison frown
"Ariella!" Zed said making everyone look at me "Is there a spell you could do to fix that?" he asked
"If there is it would take me awhile to find it and from the looks of things we don't have time for that but-" I said pulling out two crystals "These are stone and minerals. Stones and minerals are often used by us witches as a vessel that they can imbue with our magic, in conjunction with our already existing magical properties." I say they all gave me a confused face, making me sigh "Say the person's name, think of them, while holding the crystal and you will appear in front of them, as if you were truly in person with them. It's like a huge upgrade phone" handing them off to Addison and Zed
"Thank you" Zed said to me
"Thank you so much Ariella" she said smiling at me but that all stop when Mothership started to talk
"Core reactor is shutting down. Emergency systems active."
"We must leave now" A-Li said
"Even with our stardust power depleted, we must risk it." A-Lan said. That's when we heard honking and howling. It was Bonze and he was driving!!!!!!!!!!!!!
"My rage will not be contained. You will not stop us from getting to utopia!" A-Li said
"We're actually here to help" Wyatt said. I crossed my arms against my chest, knowing what they are going to try and do.
"And how will you do that?" I asked them. All three of them stood there in shocked and Wynter gulped.
"We were going to let them borrow the moonstone" Wyatt said scratching the back of his neck. A year ago, me and my sister made a deal with the pack. Part of the deal was only they were allowed to use it unless one of us gave permission.
"We thought they might need a jump start" Wynter said
"NO" I yelled "First, what happened last year with the moonstone and now this" I say making everyone look at me
"Ariella please" Addison whispered to me as she placed a hand on my shoulder "I know this is hard but I need to go with them" she add
"You were my first friend" I say making her look at me in shocked. "Before the wolves came and the zombies came to the school. Out of everyone you didn't bully me, you didn't make fun of me. Then the day at the harvest you really didn't know me or my sisters but yet you still stood up for us. When the town's people were calling us killers and monsters. I heard what you said that day and in that moment I knew we were going to be friends." I say
"I didn't think you heard me" she said
"But I did" I say "I don't want you to go Addison. No one here wants that" I say
"I know Ari but I have to do this" she said. I looked over at Zed who had a frown and then to the Aliens and then at the pack then back to Addison "Is this something you want? Like truly want?" I asked her
"Yes!" she said
"Yes. They can use the moonstone" I say.
"Thank you Ariella" she said pulling me into a hug
"What are friends for" I say. I stood back and grab Zoey as the rest went up in the Mothership and got to work to fix the ship. After an hour the rest came back down with no Addison.
"WYATT!" I say, he turned around and caught me as I ran into his arms. Everyone started walking away and headed home without no words said. Wyatt walked me home and stayed with me.
Zed - I know it might be crazy, but did you hear the story?
Zoey - I think I heard it vaguely
Zed - A girl and a zombie
Elisa - Oh, tell me more, boy, sounds like a fantasy

(I laid my head on Wyatt's shoulder as we both looked up at the stars, sitting on the steps outside my house)

We sat in silence, the both of us thinking the same thing. That was last time we would probably see Addison forever. That's when I thought back at the promise ring I saw in Wyatt's mind, I never really gave him an answer, he thought he didn't ask.
"Yes" I say lifting my head off his shoulder "The promise ring"
"I don't have it yet" he said but I just shook my head
"You don't need the ring to ask me. My answer is yes, Wyatt" I say. A huge smile broke out on both of our faces as we both leaned in for a kiss.
