After it all

The celebration

Zelda had awoken that afternoon despite not being able to sleep for the past couple of days. All she thought about was skyloft . She missed her little Island in the sky.

She dreamed of returning. When she finally graduated she wasted no time at all. Now being home in her old room made her feel as if nothing had changed. But a lot has since she left.

Link finished his knight training as did pipit . They graduated fully to adult knighthood .

She was shocked to the changes of those she loved.

Karane and Pipit had become engaged. Shortly after Zelda had departed for school.

Groose joined the defense and headed off to war for the new Hylian government that was established on the surface.
Colin and stirtch were mostly the same just taller and more mature. They still continued to follow Groose Around like an intolerable knight. Colin sprouted like a tree now looking down upon Groose. But they're attitudes towards one another are the same.

The shop keepers had all come and go as they change every couple of years. They created new shops and some remained the same with just a shift in ownership.

Her father was moved from head master and placed on the counsel of the sky. He was to negotiate with politicians on relocations and changes to skyloft to make it a happier place.

Zelda had begun her day officially after visiting the bathing room and sleeping after kicking Karane out. She finally convinced her to leave her room so she could nap.

She wore her pink and blue dress. The same one she wore two years ago. It had slightly been through a lot so the color was beginning to fade and the stitches were becoming loser. But she loved it all the same. It was still the dress link saw her in when they were on top of the goddess statue.

She loved every moment of that day two years ago. Except the part where she was taken by a tornado . She loved spending time with link . She wondered how she should wake him or if she should at all. He probably wanted to sleep since that's one of
The things he did best. So she left him be.

"Nice shot link!" Groose said as link positioned himself for a final strike in their sparing session.

Link and Groose had begun working out together shortly after the ending of the darkness. They wanted to both be in physical conditions to handle any sort of problem that was to take place.

Link had dodged Groose's blow and approached stealthy to his back side where he placed a blade around his neck .
Groose tapped quietly on links shoulder.
"Dude how do you do that every time? It's like every time we spar you are always the one who wins its not fair. I always used to win."
"Groose... You have much to learn." Link said as he walked out of the practice arena.
"Sometime next week?" Groose said.
"Of course" link responded.

Link being a sweaty mess headed Into the shower.
"Alright link... Today is the day. You need to tell her!" Link said to himself calmly shaking his thoughts out of his mind. "She deserves to know of everyone. It's time to take those 3 seconds of courage.

Link finished his bathing and got dressed in a dark blue tunic . Which brought our his skin tone and how muscular he was. He placed his sword and shield on his back and headed out the door to the party.

By looks of the sun the party had already begun. Hopefully he isn't to late.

Zelda arrived to her party first and helped Karane and her father set up. She wanted to do more but her father said their were things he didn't want her to see until everyone had arrived. Due to the fact that all of Skyloft was to be in attendance. He wanted to
Keep some things a surprise .

She paced back and forth with her hands basically in knots. She was getting nervous as people began flowing in to the ball. Link was no where to be seen. She was losing hope that he would come.

"No sign of him egh?" Karane asked.
Zelda began to get teared up as she hugged her friend.
"H-has two years really changed us? Did he forget about me?" Zelda said panicking.

Zelda walked off.

"Zel!!!" Karane called.

Zelda was gone. To miserable to even look at people in the face.

"Oh that boy better have a good explanation for all this. He's ruining the party." Karane thought to herself.

Link had arrived to the party finally. He walked his way over to the drink stand where he ran into some other Knights. They were arguing over the girls and who was better with who.

"All I'm saying is your wrong" clef said.
"Your an idiot." Groose commented back

They were practically at one another's throats when the head master broke up the little escaped and sent them both to opposite ends of the room.

Link shortly ran off and found pipit hanging with Karane.

"Their you are !!" Karane said angrily.
"You know how stupid you made Zelda look?"

Link confused didn't know how to answer and just let her continue her rage.
"She ran off because of you. She had lost all hope that you weren't coming and ran off." Karane said.
"You better go get her Romeo." Pipit said smiling.
"It will do you both some good ! "

"thanks guys. I won't let you down." Link finally had the courage to say. Especially with an angry Karane giving him a cold look.

Link managed to escape the situation and go to the one place he and Zelda go when ever they have trouble. The goddess statue. The top to be precise.

He continued out of the ballroom and headed outside. He called his bird and noticed the purple loft wing flying about above the statue .

He hopped on his bird and stealthy headed to the top. He landed on the hands and noticed Zelda curled in a ball faced away from the edge .

"Karane how many times do I have to tell you. I am not coming to the party. I need my space ."

Link didn't say anything he just walked closer to the girl . He finally had the courage to say what he always wanted to.

"I love you Zelda. Always have and will.... "

"Also sorry I'm late. Groose and I were sparing and I lost track of time. "

Zelda turned around stunned. Beaming with joy and unable to speak. She grabbed him and pulled him in for a giant hug.
She finally said it

" I love you too.."
