Jane's POV

"Don't worry, bro! I have spare clothes in my closet, I'll give it to you later." Kuya Jerome suggested, he's the first child in Salvador's Family.

I just smiled at him as we finished the dinner.

So far so good...

I mean, meeting Maxine's Family is not challenging as they welcome me, especially Mutya, their bunso, na nakatulog na sa sobrang kulit kanina.

"Ako na po diyan, Manang Doris." I approached their oldest maid.

I planned to washed the dishes because I am used in doing this. Also, it's the minor thing I can offer.

"Ayy nako iha, ako na rito. Okay lang ako ano ka ba!" The old lady reassure and push me outside the kitchen.

"Bro, let Manang do their favourite chore HAHAHAH! Just come here, let's play Call of Duty!" Kuya Jerome shouted.

Nong kumain kasi kami kanina, we talked about random stuff and one of this is COD.

"Jane needs to rest, Jerome." Mr. Salvador firmly stated which made me change my mind of playing COD.

"A-ah... that's right kuya! Medyo inaantok na nga ako. Good night na po tito and tita! Good night na po, manang and kuya!" I slightly bowed to them.

As much as possible, I wanted to be respectful because my action can create a huge impact on Joshua's reputation.

Yeah, they already knew Joshua as Maxine's suitor.

He frequently visited them and I felt that they liked him for Max.

Thus, ayoko nang makaapekto pa sa magandang reputation ng bestfriend ko.

"Finally, makakatulog na rin!" I slumped on the bed as this day is physically and emotionally challenging.

I just stared at the ceiling for a long time after I changed my shirt.

I go back to reality when my phone buzzed, means there's a notification.

I opened the messenger app and immediately stand up because of what I read:

Partner

Hey, open the door.

My heart fluttered as I remember that Maxine is the one who put this nickname 'Partner' in my messenger when we were close before.

I followed what she chatted me and there she is, waiting outside my room.

"What's the problem?" I pretended to yawn in order for her to show that I am sleepy.

"Nothing, just want to say thank you and good night!" She just walked as if she didn't ruin my me time, but before she could finally get away, she turned and spoke again.

"Also, my brother's shirt looks good on you!" She also winked at me which left me dumbfounded.

Nagmamadali kong sinara ang pintuan at patalon akong muli na pumunta sa kama.

Kumuha pa ako ng unan para tumili because I cannot create noise, baka tulog na sila tita.

"Did she just winked at me?!" Naglulumpasay pa ako sa aking kama.

Don't do that again, Maxine or else, I'll end up in Mental Hospital because of being crazy for you!!!

The Next Day

I woke up because my phone is ringing, a video call notification to be exact.

"Why?" With my morning voice. I also hugged another pillow since I am still sleepy.
