Viper
There's that fire coming out that I love so much. She is so sweet; it makes my teeth hurt. I give her my most predatory smile, and to my surprise she doesn't back down. I take one step closer to her, still she doesn't move. Taking a few more, I bump my chest into hers, forcing her to walk back against the wall. I crowd into her, boxing her in with my arms.
I lean my head down toward her, as she lifts hers up. I want more than anything right now to kiss the hell out of her, but I hold myself back. She doesn't need that from me. Not right now. I need her to trust me, before I make my move. "What is it you want more than anything Alley Cat?" I whisper near her ear.
She opens her mouth, I know it's to tell me off, but I move my hand off the wall covering her mouth with my finger. "You say you aren't Alley Cat anymore, but to me you always have been. That is not nor will it ever change." I look her dead in the eye, so she can see the seriousness of my words.
When I move my finger, placing my hand back against the wall, I await for a moment to see if she will still decide to be stubborn. With a bit of a shock to me, she simply asks "what do you mean?" Looking deep into her eyes, all that shows is vulnerability. She nibbles on her bottom lip, looking down toward my chest.
I don't like that one bit. She's being submissive, putting on a delicate flower act, and it doesn't appease to me. "Look at me Alley." Her shoulders fold into her body at my tone. I find I hate this side of her. Knowing full well that this is how she had to act in the presence of a man her entire life.
Makes me wish I could wrap my hands around her mothers throat, taking the last breath for myself. I have to close my eyes a moment, cracking my neck, calming myself down. When I open them, I lean away from her, placing my shoulder on the wall beside her. With one arm, I lift her face up, the sight of silent tears stabbing me in the heart.
"You are no longer there beautiful." Her breath hitches every time I call her that. "Here at our home, you are in charge of yourself. Free to do and be whatever you want." My words are mostly true. As long as she doesn't try to runaway like her mother did, or do something that can place her or her baby sisters life in danger, but we will discuss all of that at a later time.
"I don't know what I want. Haven't had a lot of time to think about it." She looks frightened with how honest her words are. Leaning in I kiss her on the forehead, feeling her body quiver against my body. "Sometime soon we will discuss why you are so scared in my presence." She looks up at me, her eyes growing hard once more.
"I don't know everything that has happened to you in your life. Here you need to know that nothing like what you've been through is going to happen here." I point to the floor between us, "This is your family. That fact has never changed. Once a Cobra you are always a part of us." I look into her eyes, with a hint of determination in mine. I know it's getting late, but I will not budge until she lets me know she understands. This is the most important thing to me right now.
"Sissy," a small voice comes from the top of the stairs. Her eyes leave mine, looking at little Lilith. She smiles at her. Studying the look on her face, I can see how much she truly loves that little girl. It's the first time I have seen her look serene. "I'm coming baby girl. Where's Fang and Buttercup?" Lilith turns around a moment, but the dogs beat her words, as they come trotting down the stairs. Stopping just at my legs.
They sit on their butts wagging their tails at me. I pet them on their heads. I can say they are extremely well trained. I'm a little shocked she had two huge dogs like these. That she was allowed by her uncle to keep them. "Why are my dogs this calm with you?" I kneel down in front of them, rubbing around their ears.
The male, Fang's, tongue sticks out with my movements causing Allison to giggle. Looking up at her, I see her walls have come down. She gives me a pure smile, one that takes my breath away. I suddenly have to remember what we are talking about.
Shrugging my shoulders, I look back at the dogs. "They can sense a good person." Looking back at her, I give her my devilish smile. "You've trained them very well. They know when to protect you and Lilith, and who to protect you from." Her smile turns sad. I watch as those walls rebuild around her heart, and she folds her arms around the middle of her body.
I open my mouth to ask once more what she has been through all these years, but the sound of little footsteps gain our attention. I see out of the corner of my eye, as she wipes a tear away, placing a fake smile on her lips. "Come here," She holds her arms out to Lilith. When the little brown-haired spitfire jumps into her arms, she wraps her around Alley Cat's neck. Holding her tightly.
I stand from my knees, studying the both of them. I can see so many similarities between the two. It's strange, as I know a lot of Allison's attributes come from her father. She looks over at me, I can see exhaustion working its way in her face. "We will talk more tomorrow. Lets get you two to bed." I hold my arm out toward the stairs.
Allison looks at them, back at me, then must give in to the tiredness she's feeling. She walks up the steps, me following close behind. I can't help but to check out that delicious ass of hers. It looks like each cheek could fit in the palm of my hands perfectly. Shaking my head, I disregard those thoughts.
I know she's been through many horrible things. I'm doing what I can not to think sexual thoughts about her, but her womanly body makes it extremely difficult. Making me want to pick her up by her ass, drop her onto my bed, and slam into her. Causing her to moan my name out loud, and grab onto me for dear life.
She stops abruptly in front of me, holding a now sleeping Lilith in her arms. I have to grab her arms with both my hands, trying to stop in time. So, I don't run her over with my big body, and wake the kid. She's looking up at me, the innocence in her eyes tearing me apart. I start by looking deep into hers before they make their way down to her lips. When her little tongue falls from her mouth to lick her bottom lip I have to hold in a growl.
Judging by the widening of her eyes, I failed miserably. She clearly heard the sound. Clearing her throat, she looks at the similar doors, with a confused look on her face. "Umm, which is our room?" She bites her lip, causing my eyes to fall closed a moment. Taking deep breaths, I try to calm my raging hormones.
When I open them again, I see her eyes are staring at my jeans. The visibly bulge in my pants. I turn away from her, not wanting her to get the wrong idea. That's not what I brought her here for. She's under my protection, and how my body reacting to her is unacceptable. "Uh, yeah down this way." I walk around the corner to where there's only two doors in the section.
"This one here is yours and Lilith's." I point at the door across from mine. Opening it up for her, she pauses at the threshold looking in. It's nothing fancy, just a king size bed in the middle, a dresser off to one side, futon on the other. With the closet door, and a door to their own bathroom.
When she turns to the side to look at me, she has tears welling behind her eyes. "Thank you." The looks she's giving me stuns me silent. I give her a nod, as that's all I can do right now. "I'm right across from you. So don't worry about anyone coming into your room. They have to get past me first." I wink at her, and she smiles.
I watch as she walks into the room, placing a sleeping Lilith under the blanket. She kisses her along the cheek, rubbing her hair out of her face. I can see the love she has for her just by that one look. There's some things we need to discuss, but it can wait a few days. "I'll let you settle in." I say lowly so I don't wake the kid.
Looking at me she gives one nod of her head. "Don't think I'll forget about our talk." She bites her bottom lip, looking away from me. I can see the stubbornness returning behind her eyes. "You're not going to make finding out anything easy are you?" Looking back up at me, I once again see my Alley Cat. "Hell no."
