𝐌𝐀 𝐓𝐄𝐘𝐀𝐌 (ᴀᴏɴᴇᴛᴇ)

Beautiful boy.

It was a beautiful day out, no clouds blocking the bright sun, water as clear as glass. As I'm getting my Ilu ready to go hunting with my friends, suddenly there was an alert "EVERYONE! FOREST PEOPLE HAVE CAME TO OUR ISLAND!" we all rushed over to the main area as fast as possible. There was 5 Ikran's speeding towards our part of the island, as the riders hopped off the Ikran's one beautiful boy caught my eye. He was 8'2ft, was apart of the Omatikaya clan and was quite literally perfect. "No no no, what's wrong with me! hes a guy... I can't be gay."

We greeted the Sully's into our village, the whole time I couldn't keep my eyes off this boy, every time we made eye contact i would get this feeling in my stomach, I'd never felt this way in my life. What's happening to me... His name was "Neteyam" everything about him was perfect, even his name. How is that even possible?

My family decided to let them stay with us, "my son Aonung and daughter Tsireya will teach your kids our way, so you don't suffer the pain of being useless". "YES!" i thought to myself while still getting that weird feeling in my stomach.

For the next week we would have to teach the Sully's the way of the water, today they were going to learn how to swim. We all jumped into the water and started swimming, me, Tsireya and Rotxo were getting confused on why they kept going up for air. We followed them up to see what was going on, "wait up! you guys are going to fast" Tuk said visibly upset, "you are not good divers, maybe good at swimming through trees but-" Tsireya slapped me on the head telling me to stop. I looked at Neteyam to see he was upset, going from the forest to water is hard I get it. "Shit shit shit no, why did I say that!" I said to myself, I quickly apologized to the family they could tell I felt guilty.

Tsireya took Tuk and Lo'ak, Rotxo took Kiri and i took Neteyam. We bonded really fast, we had so much in common and really got along especially with us being the oldest in our family's. I caught him staring at me every now and then. We were both smiling a lot. around an hour later he had the hang of it, we even had enough time to teach him to ride the Ilu, he was very good and learns very fast, I have a feeling we won't need a week.

later on, I was walking down the beach like a do every night after dinner and i see someone lying down on the sand, staring into the ocean. i went farther to see who it was. it was him, Neteyam "Neteyam, Y'know the tides about to come in, right?" i said softly trying not to make him panic. he jumped abit, 'I mean it is my first day here so no, not really. but thank you!" we smiled at eachother as he sat up. i sat down next to him and we made eye contact immediately for over a minute, he leaned into a kiss, i started to panic "I should go.. it's getting dark, you should too." he just sat there, on the beach. he looked so sad. "Aonung you fucking dumbass, why did you do that to him!" i ran home regreting my choices.

neteyams pov: i felt so fucking stupid. 'Of course, Hes not gay... The one friendship you had is ruined! good luck getting friends now..." I ran back to my Marui pod bawling my eyes out. as soon as i got home i slept hoping i would never wake up.
